Removal of offline symbol DM-1701

Hi, I'm struggling with turning off the offline symbol on the 1701, its that little blue arrow at the top right of the screen on the right of the encryption icon, Reason i ask is because i programmed a frequency into the radio, the slot was correct and the colour code was correct, but although i can see activity on the screen i cannot hear anything, the weird part is, if i change the tx frequency and leave the rx frequency on the channel i want to hear, then i can hear the chat, doing that also makes the blue arrow icon change to a minus, I take it because the radio channel is now set as a repeater style one, I just want to turn off the offline icon so i can talk on the channel as well, so wanted to know how to do it, i have looked in all the radio settings and in the CPS settings and there is nothing i can see,, any help appreciated.

Colin,

Sorry no one has replied to this. Probably there is no one here who has that
radio or, if they have it, they don't know how to do what you're asking to do.

On my Anytone, I don't know how the DMR works. I am using a code plug made by my
brother, who understands these things, but I would have no way of knowing how to
change anything except on FM only channels.

It's a shame that DMR and D-Star weren't made to be much simpler to set up. Once
set up, it's not all that difficult to operate. Well, D-Star is a bit more
complicated than DMR, I think, to operate once it's set up.

Thanks for the response Don, I cant find anything in the manual or online about it, all it says is that it indicates the channel is offline, the cps does not give any clues either, it does change but only when you put a negative or positive offset in the channel info, the blue arrow, the minus and the plus symbol, i'll have a look and see if its something staring me in the face, It's strange as it's only this one frequency, I double and treble checked the slot and colour code and I also get the same info on receiving that frequency on my whistler TRX2, as i say its a weird one because if i program the channel as simplex the blue arrow appears and if i TX the scanner receives it and i can hear, but i can hear a response on my scanner and the 1701 green led lights up but no sound from the 1701. these things are sent to try us,,lol
