Re: Baofeng UV82 programming cable
The ONLY system I trust is the RT Systems software and cable.? I've used them on my Yaesu FT8900R mobile, a couple of Yaesu VX 150 portables, a Baofeng UV5RHP portable, and a Baofeng BF-F8+.? I

Baofeng UV82 programming cable
How do I determine what cables will actually work programming Baofeng HTs? I had one that came with it when I bought a UV82. This cable also worked with Wouxin KG1-UVD. Lost that cable, and now I have

Re: New UV-5R will not unlock
There is a thing called, egregious circumstance. Call that, very dire and unforeseeable emergency. It's sort of a last hope CYA. It allows, where no other route can be found, for a lifesaving measure

Re: New UV-5R will not unlock
Baofeng UV-5R radios can be programmed in the frequency from 378 to 568Mhz and from 126 to 250Mhz, the illegal depends on the country in which it is used.

Re: New UV-5R will not unlock
You could unlock it for any frequency, as long as you don't use it on frequencies that you're not licensed for, and also not if it's not FCC type accepted for services outside the amateur bands. The

It is illegal to SELL the radios that can be unlocked, not illegal to do it after you bought it. -- Ron N8WCR https://n8wcr.us Quis custodiet ipsos custodies?

Interesting that you would deliberately want to break the law and publicize the fact that you intend to? I suppose next we can expect a u-tube video on how to make your radio illegal? We have enough

It would seem logical that in the manual they were coming from a default position where the offset is already at zero or off. Obviously the problem arises when one has already been doing some

A friend pointed out to me that to use the procedure in Section 6.10 of the manual, the offset specified in Section 6.11 must be zero. And I see that that solution works just fine, either by using

I think that the numbering might be confusing. ?My UV-S9 was advertised as a tribander and is but doesn¡¯t feature the 8 watt output. ?My UV-S9 PLUS was advertised as a dual band radio with 8 watts

Re: UV-S9 on 220
I understand some of these Baofengs can be put on 220 MHz. I don't know which ones, or how to do it. I also don't know how good the spectral purity of the signal would be. Donald KX8K <w6pap@...>

Re: UV-S9 on 220
I bought my UV-S9 mostly for 220 MHz use and it works fine on that band. ?I also have a UV-S9PLUS that does not receive or transmit on 220 but it wasn¡¯t advertised as triband. 73, Maynard W6PAP
