Re: UV82 receiver cycling

In my Icom 5100, for example, many people set their local WX channel up and set it to monitor the frequency for WX alerts. This stops audio while it checks for an alert, then returns to the frequency you've been listening to. This might be the case here, but I don't have the radio. See if there's a monitor function that needs to be set to off. I don't see a WX monitor function, but look at page 17 in the manual: look under TDR (dual watch/dual reception) It allows the radio to periodically check to see if it's receiving a signal on another frequency. Make sure that's off. Menu items are described on pages 14 and 15. If that doesn't help, perhaps someone who has the same radio can help. Re: UV-3R battery
I am using a NP-60 battery in my Baofeng UV-3r. When the Baofeng first came out years ago, I purchased a NP-60 battery and wall charger on Ebay. MY radio was the earliest model which included the Xmit lock-up when using an external mic/earphone feature at no additional cost. The second gen UV-3R may not use the exact battery as mine. Middle terminal on NP-60 is not used by my radio. A piece of tape prevents accidental shorts. Good luck 73 Russ N2RUS On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, 12:57:22 PM EDT, i2NDT Claudio via groups.io <i2ndt@...> wrote: hi! Baofeng AR-152 radio today only 79.95 at R&L Electronics
Baofeng advertises this as a 15W radio. It isn't. R&L tested it at about 8W.
Apparently, in China, you add up the wattage for each band and total it. Anyway, this is a good price for an 8W radio. ---------------------------------------------------- Some ham radio groups you may be interested in: /g/ICOM /g/Ham-Antennas /g/HamRadioHelp /g/Baofeng /g/CHIRP |
Re: UV-3R battery
Since he appears to be somewhere in Europe (Italy?), there may be a different
company over there that rebuilds battery packs. I'd search for these words: rebuild battery pack and see what results come in. Maybe add the make and model to the search. Re: UV-3R battery
That's a great price, especially with shipping included.
It will probably be new, old stock. Donald KX8K On Wed, 21 Sep 2022 03:58:55 +0000, "Doug J" <vk2xlj@...> wrote: Hello Claudio, ---------------------------------------------------- Some ham radio groups you may be interested in: /g/ICOM /g/Ham-Antennas /g/HamRadioHelp /g/Baofeng /g/CHIRP |

Baeofeng on APRS
KK4IXE, I have been using voice for over a decade. Recently found an interest in using APRS and hope to use it over my Baeofeng coupled to my iPhone. I intend to receive weather and emergency updates and communicate over SMS to my wife while doing fieldwork in wooded areas. Can anyone offer guidance here??

Costs about $30(Please use your name at the end of your post so we know who you are.) That's a good price for an entry-level HT radio. I have one and like it. It's not built as well as my Anytone HT, and doesn't have as much power output, but you can't beat the price. : NanoVNA-H v3.6 vs NanoVNA-H4 v4.3 for SWR measurements
?Jim Shorney11:25am? ?
I've done that on the theory that the NVNA approximated the size and ground plane of a Baofeng HT. I was able to determine that the cheap tri-band whip sold by one of the recent names in the business is really only a dual band. the vendor has no clue what in the world I was talking about when I asked for test data. They couldn't put me in touch with anyone that wasn't reading talking points off a screen. I got a refund. Thanks, NanoVNA!

Re: DM-V1, DMR HT
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý
Most the chinese DMR radios, their software all looks the same. The principles are the same. If you look at a video on programming for another model or even another brand and it looks the same as your software it will work.
