Hope what I am about to say wasn¡¯t already mention.
?
Here are my opinions:
?
1.
The drums are too loud.
?
2.
The drums is pan too much on one side (left side). It take away from the balance of the music because the left side is peaking around 7.00 and the right ?peaks around 0.5.? Try some gain (volume) staging and balance panning. Try keeping
all low frequencies center. Since low frequencies drive the power of the music, keeping them in the center help balance your sound track.
3.
Adding a bass instrument(playing complimentary ?melody to the kick) inside the mix will give the rhythm a little more bounce.
?
4.
Some high frequencies saturation will add a little more excitement to the sound track.
Check this one out, right now I¡¯m using cellos for the bass line, but the feel is too somber, so I will try laying down a guitar track instead later on.
The drums I laid down a piece at a time, and did some quantizing. I played the piano live with no quantizing, trying to not make it sound so robotic.
?If you heard the track I posted over on the RWP list, this one has been changed a good bit.
Let me know what ya think, and please post your own stuff here.
