Suzy Thompson & Mary Flower, Richmond CA - Fri. 11/22
Hi folks,
Eric and Suzy are finally back home after our fantastic month-long trip! We started in Louisiana, mostly in Cajun country, with a day trip to New Orleans..? Lots of good music was played, heard and danced to (sometimes accompanied by a mockingbird in residence at the Lakeview Resort where Blackpot Camp takes place!), plenty of good eating and visits with friends old and new.? Outside of Nashville, TN, we attended a birthday get-together with old time musicians from all over and prepared a huge gumbo with sausage we brought with us from Louisiana. We spent a week in New York, walking, visiting, going to some museums, capped off with a performance at one of our favorite festivals, the Brooklyn Folk Festival, and tunes with Nora Brown, Samoa Wilson, Stephanie Coleman, Libby Weitenaur.? Finished off in Boston with workshops at Berklee College of Music and? New England Conservatory, and? a house concert where Jim Kweskin sat in!!??
