November 2024

Dear Friends, Family, and Fans,

Earlier this week, I got a call from a former student who started back?in 2013-2014 at Prescott Elementary. They just returned to the Bay Area and wanted a new PCT t-shirt and know about upcoming shows. They shared:?

You may not have known or remembered what it was like for me back then, what it was like for me at home. Prescott Circus gave me a place to express myself and be myself. I still think about it. I even got on a unicycle the other day!

This conversation resonated with why we¡¯re celebrating 40 years. Since Miss Moffitt taught her first circus classes at Prescott Elementary in '84-'85, Prescott Circus continues to offer Oakland children safe spaces to experience joy, creativity, belonging, and connections - experiences that make a positive, life-long impact.

In honor of our 40th Anniversary, we're raising $40,000 before January 1 and, thanks to many of you already, we're just $16,500 short of our goal.?With the current budget challenges in our city and school district, your support is more crucial than ever. Celebrate our 40th with a year-end donation to ensure Prescott Circus continues to be a place where young people thrive.

Thank you for your continued support.

With Gratitude,

David Hunt

Executive / Artistic Director
