I have an older iPhone 7 iOS 15.6.1 with lots of memory.
Regularly at least once a day when I try to read my “Notes” they vanish (the titles remain but no content. When I turn the phone off, and then restart, the notes all reappear.
Any suggestions as to why this happens or how to stop it?

I have no idea why that happens.

Have you tried just force-quit the Notes app & re-loading, rather than doing the whole phone off & back on?
If that works, at least it's easier & faster than a complete re-start.

I find that my notes (on an up-to-date [SE2 I think] iOS17) are either very slow or reluctant to update when I switch to the app (& know I've made changes to certain notes. So I do the quit-app-&-reopen.
