Re: Group Huddle :> Pictures or not?
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI¡¯d be happy to participate in paying for the upgrade. ?This group being so important to our understanding of the mysteries of the universe we should have the best platform available. ?We can make the payment voluntary from the members. You can see an overview of the messages posted to the group by pointing your browser to?

Re: Group Huddle :> Pictures or not?
Jim can you tell us how to post a small image like you did? ?There is only?so much free space they give us?before you have to pay to upgrade.? I believe digests can NOT (at least on Yahoo!) *receive* images. I have been posting occasional images for years, as parts of problem solutions. I know others have not been able to, but I just am typing along, break away to create the ¡°tutorial image¡±, come back to Mail, click on the paperclip icon at the top, and select the image: Done. Nothing ¡°special¡± on my end. One day, I saw someone on one forum had a graphic image in their signature, so I decided to try it. I just edited my ¡°Standard¡± signature, adding this image, and now it appears as part of my signature on all the messages sent from my Mac. (I haven¡¯t done this on iPhone or iPad). |

FYI: This image is only?97 ¡Á 128 pixels, and runs to?14.1 KB If you try to enlarge it you will see it very quickly pixelates out, because it is a severe-compression JPEG. |

This is new to all of us and we are going thru some growing pains.? I might have messed up a few things,
as this is so much different than Yahoo.? ? Jim can you tell us how to post a small image like you did?? There is only so much free space they give us before you have to pay to upgrade.? Rich |
Re: Welcome to the new home of the Yahoo iPhone Group.
I'm mostly a lurker, contribute occasionally. But I get all the emails and read them and have found some answers to questions I've had without having to post the question. The 3G was my first iPhone so I've been around here for 10+ years even if my presence isn't seen often. Thanks for all the feedback I can learn from. Jim, I have no problem visualizing the person I am communicating with. Comparing to reality is the fun part.?

Let me say I have argued with you in the past, but enjoy many of your thoughts, so take the thoughts knowing they are a sign of respect. Your true image is not far from my guess, a grumpy, old Druid. From a grumpy, old fart, Brent On Oct 18, 2019, at 9:56 AM, Jim Saklad via Groups.Io wrote:

Re: IOS 13
Hard to tell if you don't tell us what iMac, MBP you have? But I doubt it if you are running 10.13.6.

I have an early 2008 MBP running 10.7.5, and can be updated to 10.11. I am having some difficulties because of the older OS and apps. They are few and far between, but increasing. I also find that being able to visualize the person to whom I am replying is helpful to me ¨C through the use of a reduced-resolution, small-size image, like the one below. |
Slow syncing
I tried sending this via email, but for some reason it didn't go through. ?I'm sending now directly from groups.ioGood morning all,Since updating both my iMac (2013) to Catalina, and my iPhone 7+ to 13.1.3 my Notes are not syncing as they use to.They still sync, but it¡¯s extremely slow, sometimes not happening until overnight while my phone is plugged in charging. It doesn¡¯t matter if I add/change a note on my phone or Mac, either way it¡¯s extremely slow to sync.I rely on my Notes for everything, and I do mean everything! ?I have 171 notes.I have turned off syncing on my phone (Settings/Apple ID/iCloud/Notes), and on my Mac, and shut down both. ?This removed all my Notes and it took nearly an hour for them to re-appear on both devices.. ?Calendar has been having somewhat of the same issue with syncing, but not quite as bad.Any suggestions to speed up syncing would be greatly appreciated.Janet |
