Locked Re: ANSWER TO GUIDE RULE

The LIKE feature is of very little value - IMHO

Here is what the User manual for says:

Using the Like feature

Similar to social media apps and websites, Groups.io has a feature allowing group members to indicate that they like messages that are posted to the group. You can use either of these methods to like a group message:

  • On the group¡¯s website, click the Like?icon at the bottom of the message.
  • By email, reply to the message you want to like and enter either +1?or the word like?as the text of your reply. (If your reply quotes the message you are replying to, delete all the quoted text so your reply contains only +1?or like.)
This reply will not be sent to group members or appear in the message archive on the group¡¯s website, but your like will be included in the count next to that message¡¯s Like icon on the website.
So - only if you look at the message on the site will you see the like count. In searching the last 700 messages, I never saw more than 1 person liking on any message.

A more important feature, again IMHO, is the Mute This Topic link that you will see at the bottom of the message.
