Is there any important purpose served by the extensions on the cross and compound slide handles???The little balls that are opposite the actual handle or are they just there for cosmetic reasons???I ask because they're usually just in my way and I'm seriously contemplating cutting them off as I cannot come up with a good reason for them to be there. Other than to be in my way, LOL!
