Re: Check this out ¨C walmart online shopping vevor lathe - Bing - Shopping

Mike

I have had three such experiences with Walmart vendors in the recent few years and all three were resolved quickly by Walmart Customer Service people who took my call. In all three cases, they quickly refunded my money and told me that they will take over the issue with the vendors related to the shipment. In one case they even asked me to keep the item because it was shipped from a location outside of the US. In the other two cases, they sent me UPS labels for returning the items. The listings were also immediately removed by the CS people.?

I think Walmart or Amazon have a reputation to maintain and as a result, they always tend to side with the buyer than the vendor. I have heard about many similar stories at Amazon CS too. I had only one such experience with Amazon in 2017 which was quickly resolved in my favor.??

Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc all play this game. The best way to tell
who is selling you an item is to look at who the funds were
transferred to. I don't use Walmart, so can't say for sure, but both
Amazon and eBay process the payments themselves...my card shows a
payment to eBay or Amazon. They do this in order to take their cut of
the sale. I view it as them shooting themselves in the foot because my
financial statement says I purchased an item from eBay/Amazon and when
I talk to their support I am very clear that *they* sold me the item
since *they* took my money, and I have nothing to do with their
contracts with their "vendors". If they try to say they aren't the
seller I respond by asking if they are saying the sale was fraudulent,
since my card says they received the money, and if they didn't sell
the item I will report the charge as fraudulent.

So, if you buy from and they process the payment, don't
let them tell you they aren't the seller...all evidence is that they
are. They do this to try and leave you without recourse for whatever
the problem is. But, legally speaking, if they take your money they
have to deliver the product they sold you. If they ever start
explaining "how it works" say "that's nice, but my credit card says
you sold me the item and I expect you to support that sale". Report it
as fraud if they refuse.

There is no guarantee of anything by Walmart. They are only providing the marketplace. (this info is in the fine print)

The 8X lathes seem to me to be a streched version of the 7X family, increasing capacity without increasing strength or rigidity. Ever run a lathe that has been blocked up to increase the swing? It is the home of chatter!
