yesterday. I asked the manager when it would be on sale and he told me
he would sell it to me for the sale price of $159.99 and he also
included the extended service protection for nothing. It has the cast
blade guides. I am not sure what you mean about the adjuster knob. I
looked in the gear box to check for sand in the oil. The gear box is
a die cast part so there not is any sand casting sand in there. I
have already done some of the modifications that appear on the site.
I have ordered the Surplus Center cylinder and bought a fountain pump
that HF had on sale for a coolant pump. The pump was on sale for less
than $10.00 and it pumps water just fine. HF has a 6" digital caliper
on sale for $19.99 in the store and it looks great.
Good Luck with you saw.

Hi everyone
I'm new, you'll be able to tell from my question. I'm trying to
work out the best deal on my 4x6 saw purchase so I've been reading
the archives to answer my questions on my own but I'm running out
of
time. I kind of live in a remote area and have someone going to
the "city" that can pick up a HF version for me tomorrow. (I'm
trying to avoid shipping costs.) The HF is on sale for $170.00
(not
much of a sale as compared to what I've read about so far in
archives. (Insidentally, the same sales flyer has a 12" stainless
digital caliper price marked $19.99! Most likely a type-o because
the web sight said it was on sale for $49.99.))
Anyway, the HF flyer I'm referring to has a photo of the bandsaw
with the cast metal guides and lower adjuster knob that were not on
previous HF units. Did HF update thier saw to that of Enco,
Grizzly
ect.? I would much rather have a saw of this type rather than the
one on the HF site. Another question...Does Homier still sell the
bandsaw? I can't find it on their site.
This is kind of a long post for the first one. I'm new to this
hobby so these type of groups have helped me alot. I've also got a
mini-mill and lathe and I must say that I'm truely amazed with some
of the projects you guys do.
