Hey neighbors and friends -
Just a reminder that tomorrow is the last garbage day before Christmas.
James Pierce (JP) is the lead on the garbage crew and has been for 8 years. He¡¯s got 2 colleagues on his route. He was a delight the other day when we met for the first time face to face ¡ª- he wondered why he¡¯s never seen me and I explained David is in charge of Waste Management.
At any rate, I know JP and his team will appreciate any gratitude for their service this year. As will the recycling team when they come back next Tuesday(Monday is a holiday)
Also, don¡¯t forget your milk delivery crew, composting team, UPS, Amazoners etc.
And most of all don¡¯t forget the two guys who look out for us all year long on 10th and 11th St. SE, your USPS mail carriers Dell and Wade ¡ª and on top of taking care of us, they look out for each other and back each other up all year long.
Dell is clearly the most charming and reliable of the two, but aren¡¯t we grateful for two amazing guys who are walking our blocks day in and day out, looking out for us and our precious mail??
