If any of you awoke this morning to find the wheels, seat and rack stolen from your bike, you should contact the police.
Last night I awoke at 2:45am to the sound of the rattle of the iron fence that is in front of our house where my wife locks her bike.? I quietly opened the shade and saw a man removing the wheels from my wife's bike.? Parked behind him was a bike with several wheels, tires, seats, and racks attached to it.
I called the police and they caught him in the alley and took him away.
He was an African American male in his 30s or 40s.
His bike was loaded with several parts and he parked it right on 11th street while he pulled the seat and wheels from my wife's bike. I know there aren't many people
around at 3 am but it was quite obvious what he was up to for anybody who was passing by.
