Neighbors, Paul Quander, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Justice and Steven Glaude, Director of Community Affairs ?held a conference call about Hurricane Sandy for ANC Chairs this morning. ?Some useful information follows:
?1. The peak storm time will be overnight Monday through Tuesday evening with sustained winds of 25 to 45 miles per hour, up to 60 miles per hour.? Because of the wind and rain, tree damage, falling limbs, and power outages are likely. ?2. ?It's a good idea to??charge all cell phones and technology NOW and get 72 hours worth of water and food ready. 3. ?No regularly scheduled trash pick up tomorrow. ?Please keep your cans in and secured. ?DPW will announce new times once the situation settles. 4.????? Report Pepco outages to 1.877.737.2662.? Pepco has 500 crew members on their way or already here at Montgomery Country fairgrounds. 5.
