Info on upcoming neighborhood walk and update on latest incident at 3rd and NC Ave SE

Brian Pate #438 All, Just want to provide you with information from my colleague, Ivan Frishberg, and CDR Hickson on another violent robbery last night. ? If you're interested in doing something proactive in response, please join me and several others for a neighborhood walk this Saturday night, from 9PM to 11PM. ?Acting on an idea from a neighbor, our theme for the walk will be, "Do your bit, keep it lit!" ?We'll be putting flyers on dark homes, encouraging them to turn on their porch lights. ?The walk will be coordinated with MPD. ?Rally at the corner of 13th & Independence. The description provided by the victim was for two black males, both described as 20 years old, 5'4", 150 pounds wearing a white sleeveless shirt. Obviously, due to the time and location of the assault, investigators are exploring any connection to the Maslin case; however, as of the moment a direct correlation has not been established. If I do learn of anything further, and I am able to release the information, I will certainly pass it to you and the community. While I am disappointed with the robbery this morning, we have had a significant impact with our deployments to the area recently.
