Tracky Metrobuses

Just been looking through some old photos online, and an intriguing comment has come up on this Tracky picture.
?

It is suggested in the final comment that the Metrobuses 701-16 (the only low-height MKII Metrobuses built) were initially destined for West Riding, who declined them and YT took up the order, with West Riding taking a handful of final Olympians instead.?

Was this the case, or not true at all? It would seem odd, seeing as West Riding took Leyland (or Bristols) exclusively for years previously.

Is it all of the TLC services in Huddersfield? If so that's the 341, 354/55, 374/75, 377/78, and the 900/01/02 - as I recall most were interworked in a fairly complex pattern (certainly the 354/55, 374/75, 377/78 have all been interworked back to the days of First running them with 709Ds!).

Re: Stagecoach Yorkshire - Covid19 allocation changes

A further update...

To operate the XPO special services (below) E400s 19512/3 and 19560 have returned to service at Barnsley depot, with Scania/E400s 15711/3 back on the road at Ecclesfield.

Rawmarsh received E200MMC 26030 back from the paintshop (in the new livery) to essentially give them the extra vehicle for their XPO run.

Whilst on my delivery run this morning I stumbled across ADL Enviro 200 NK09FKR, this was parked in the yard of Star Coaches of Batley, West Yorkshire and appears to be freshly painted in a green and white livery.

This year's Supertram Rail Replacement work

This year's SuperTram Rail Replacement work is going ahead as planned, despite the COVID19 situation. Work this year is focussed on the section between City and Halfway, starting on Monday and planned to run through to late September.

The first phase is for around 4 weeks and will result in no trams running between Birley and Halfway. Due to the current guidance on the use of public transport and the very low number of passengers at present no rail replacement bus services are being introduced at present. Local bus services (8, 80 and 120) provide sufficient alternatives.

Not seen this reported previously, whilst passing through Mirfield this morning on my deliveries I noted former Rotala Midlands Wright Streetlite 30529 SK63KOB in allover white operating the 205 service to Dewsbury.

Re: First SY

Hi Adam

I gather more E400s are due at Doncaster from Rotala (as ALX400 replacements), though not sure if it's all of the 17 you identify.

Forgot to mention earlier - the 3x E200MMCs that were on loan to Olive Grove from Mistral were returned at the start of the Covid19 service reduction period.
