Correct - quite a loss for Tiger. Elsewhere, but connected, I gather both Tiger and TLC have lost Huddersfield and Calderdale area work to CT Plus. Re: Transdev win Airport routes
Ian thanks for confirming. Re: the Airport routes, that's about, what, a PVR of about 10 or 11? Presumably, Transdev will be ordering a batch of new E200 MMC for that in time, then... Interesting that CT Plus are doing well in West Yorks, now. On Sat, 11 Apr 2020 at 17:36, ian@yorkshirebus via <yorkshirebus=[email protected]> wrote: Adam --

PVR of 11 for the airports I think (5 on 737/747 and 5 plus a peak extra on 757). Not sure if Transdev will run them from Harrogate or Keighley? Re: Transdev win Airport routes
Will Transdev still start these services considering the situation at the moment? Also I've heard the some bus body builders have gone on lockdown which will obviously delay any deliveries so even if Transdev do start these Airport routes on time it might look like they will have to temporarly higher in vehicles from somewhere until their vehicles are built/delivered which if bodybuilders are on lockdown could take time. Doesn't look as though Yorkshire Tiger will have much to do!

Stagecoach East Midlands - Gainsborough depot
Hi all For info - SEM have closed their Gainsborough depot for the duration of the Coronavirus outbreak. Some of the Gainsborough allocation has transferred to neighbouring depots along with some of the work - Scunthorpe and Lincoln depot are covering the InterConnect 100 (Scunthorpe - Gainsborough - Lincoln) and Worksop depot are covering the Retford - Gainsborough and Retford - Doncaster workings. Re: First SY
Ian according to the last Rotala allocation update on Tony Hunter's website, no less than 22 E400s (and two of the four remaining B9TL/Wright) were returned to First recently. The five E400s you report going to Doncaster are some of these - are FSY expecting the other 17 E400s too? /adam On Mon, 20 Apr 2020 at 14:23, ian@yorkshirebus via <yorkshirebus=[email protected]> wrote:

I gather more E400s are due at Doncaster from Rotala (as ALX400 replacements), though not sure if it's all of the 17 you identify. Forgot to mention earlier - the 3x E200MMCs that were on loan to Olive Grove from Mistral were returned at the start of the Covid19 service reduction period. A few updates to the below: At Chesterfield, 15336 remains off the road so should be removed from the list below, and replaced with 22627. E200MMC 26084 is also now out of use, replaced by 36992. From this coming Monday 4 new temporary services will be introduced under contract to XPO Logistics to get their employees to/from their warehouse at Grimethorpe. The services will run 3 round trips per day and are not available to the general public. Each service will increase the operating depot's PVR by 1 vehicle: Service 1: Mapplewell to XPO via Royston and Monk Bretton (operated by Barnsley depot) Service 2: Kexborough to XPO via Pogmoor and Hoyland (operated by Barnsley depot) Service 3: Rotherham to XPO via Mexborough and Goldthorpe (operated by Rawmarsh depot) Service 4: Sheffield to XPO via Ecclesfield and Hoyland Common (operated by Ecclesfield depot). This year's Supertram Rail Replacement work
This year's SuperTram Rail Replacement work is going ahead as planned, despite the COVID19 situation. Work this year is focussed on the section between City and Halfway, starting on Monday and planned to run through to late September.
The first phase is for around 4 weeks and will result in no trams running between Birley and Halfway. Due to the current guidance on the use of public transport and the very low number of passengers at present no rail replacement bus services are being introduced at present. Local bus services (8, 80 and 120) provide sufficient alternatives. Ian |
