I've noted plain white Mercedes Tourismo coach BF16 XPK parked outside Waterson's depot on a couple of occasions recently. Not been able to check legals/disc and seems a little new for Watersons, but unless anyone knows better I'd suggest it is being used here at present.

Gold Scania/E400 15609 (OU10 BHA) entered service on the X10 (Barnsley - Leeds) route on Friday.

Along with 15610 these are generally covering the X10 at present, with a further 2 Gold DDs being prepared for Barnsley.

I gather the former mainstays of the X10, Volvo/Plaxtons 53714-6 are shortly to leave the fleet, one going to Stagecoach South East and the other two 'to Scotland".

The relaxed atmosphere of the coaches made the service what it is. I suspect they may have unwittingly killed the weekend evening services.

Just a quick update on the latest StreetDeck deliveries...

35634/5 (YE69 YHG/F) were delivered to Bramley with grey fronts and internal branding for the Pudsey services (4/16) which the grey fronted vehicles are intended for. However, without use at Bramley they were transferred to Hunslet Park, the grey fronts replaced by green (generic colour for non-corridor specific vehicles) and the internal brandings removed, and now seem to have taken up residency on the 33/34.

35636/7 (YE69 YHB/A) were delivered to Bramley with yellow fronts (for the York Road coridoor) and guide arms, but not yet guidewheels. Once the wheels have been fitted they will be allocated to service 56, for now they are being used on any non-guideway workings.

BL Travel (Lockwood, Hemsworth)

A post on Waterson's Coaches website states they have taken over operation of bus service 249 (Pontefract - Hemsworth - Upton) as of yesterday from BL Travel as the latter "went in to receivership".

They stopped running their other bus service - the 223 between Wakefield and South Elmsall - at short notice in November citing increased competition from Arriva.? Reports elsewhere suggest the Wakefield District AccessBus contract BL operated is being covered by CT Plus.

Unclear if this is the end of the entire business (which included private hire operations, National Express work and coach tours) or if it is just the bus operations which have been jettisoned by the receivers.

I saw it leaving the A1 and heading into Stevenage at approximately 6:30 this morning still in ‘Ross Travel’ livery minus its ‘Featherstone Rover’ fleetnames.

Waterson's are using plain white Optare Solo SR YJ13 HJK on their 203 (Doncaster - Wombwell) service today.

Gather both the previous Solos (FP51 AOH & YJ06 YRG) they purchased for this tendered route were withdrawn with major faults after only a brief spell of use each, lets see if 'HJK' fares better...

A bit of a long overdue (rather like the bus services...) update:

All the ex First Leeds B9TL/Wright Gemini IIs have now transferred from Hunslet Park to Olive Grove.

Moving from Olive Grove to Doncaster are older B9TL/Wrights 37103/5-9/12/14-6 so far, with the missing ones to move over shortly.

In the opposite direction have gone B7TL/Wrights 37031, 37151/3 and 37172/3, with 37152/5 due to move shortly.? Their stay at Olive Grove will only be shortlived as they are due to leave the fleet at the end of this month.

B7RLE 66963 (KX05 MHZ) has moved to Doncaster from First Leicester.? This is the last of the ex Leicester B7RLEs expected at Doncaster for now (66842/3/7 and 66962/3/4/6/9 are the 8 that have made the journey).

On loan from First Bristol for driver training/route learning purposes are B10BLEs? 66162 (S362 XCR) and 66174 (W374 EOW).

Volvo B7RLEs 66972-5 have moved from First Leicester to First West Yorkshire.

Along with 66967/8, also ex Leicester, currently in the operational fleet at York I gather these are for conversion to Driver Training Vehicles to replace the B10BLEs currently deployed on such work.
