First Leeds
The first of the latest batch of StreetDecks have started to enter service at Bramley depot - these being the ones that were ready to be shipped when WrightBus went pop, and have arrived without PDIs or being registered.? As such, they have been registered by First locally as follows:
They have the grey 'wedge' fronts and are intended (though not necessarily?to be found on!) routes 4 and 16. Ian |

I gather as part of the deal reached between First and the administrators of WrightBus, this batch of vehicles - which had been built and stored awaiting PDI and shipment, have been purchased without being registered or having their PDIs completed, nor come with a manufacturers warranty. As such, they are currently having their PDIs completed at Bramley and then will be registered by First. I don't think a great deal of work (other than some initial preparation work) has been done at Stourton as yet, so I'd say it's a fair way off opening... They are - in theory (due to the nature of the operation at Skegness - particularly during the summer - it's usually a case of anything goes...). They're only at Long Sutton temporarily until further ex Oxfordshire deckers are prepared for LO, the 56 is generally run with B7TLs for the time being - agree its a bit of a backwards step in the short term but I'm told there was an urgent need to get a standardised, reliable fleet in place at Long Sutton asap. Two Enviro 400s have arrived from Olive Grove depot from First Manchester (though latterly loaned to Diamond Bus North West as part of their deal to buy First's former Bolton depot).
The vehicles are 33720/5 (SN12 AKK/X).? A further 4 are due to follow in the next week or so.? These are presumably to start seeing off the elderly Volvo B7TLs. Ian |
