Just sending a reminder about the club policy of not rowing in club boats when the river flow on the Montague gauge is 21 kcfs or higher. Due to the forecast for rain in the next few days, the river flow this coming week is unfortunately likely to be too high to?row in club boats. ?This week and throughout the season, it is prudent that everyone check the?gauge before rowing.?
Please see the YRC website Safety Guidelines for more additional helpful tips and info:

One last thing!….The boathouse is open, but it is a bit of a mess. New mice condo construction has been underway all winter and there is a great need for our annual Boathouse Clean Up. Please remember that the clean up is planned for?Saturday, May 3rd from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. With many hands, we will get it finished quickly and will have time to socialize and/or row! ?
We look forward to another fun and safe season for our community and our rowing partners along this beautiful stretch of water. Happy rowing! ?
Best,?

?
Hi Everyone!
We are?forwarding
along the?2025?YRC?Application.? As you will see,
the membership dues and fees have increased slightly - an additional $20 for
membership and $20 for rack space.? This slight increase is to meet our
increased expenses; rent has gone up and membership numbers have changed over
the years.
?
Thank you for
sending the application, waiver, and your payment to?YRC’s new mailing
address, noted on the Application (P.O. Box 1451, Northampton, MA
01061-1451)?BEFORE your rowing?season?begins.? Each
member is required to complete this process before taking your/a boat out on
the river. ?
?
We look forward to
sending out an email soon regarding the opening of the boathouse and the?2024?season.?
Until then, the?YRC?Board looks forward to seeing those who can make
it on Saturday, May 4th from 9:00-11:00 for our Annual
Boathouse Clean Up. ??
?
We also wanted to
take this opportunity to remind folks that the Yankee Rowing Club website is a
great resource. ().
Among some fantastic photos of club members on the water, there is also a
section that provides helpful links, including but not limited to the water
flow ().
?
While we will open
the club for boat usage once the flow drops below 20 kcfs, we urge you to
regularly check the water flow before rowing, as it can fluctuate throughout
the?season.??Hope to see you soon!? May this be a glorious
rowing?season?for all!?

Hello YRC Members!
We are pleased to inform you that the boathouse is open and club boats are available for members’ use. The flow is down and the water temperature is at a safe point. Please remember though that the river flow changes throughout the season and it is important to check before you head out - every time! ?
The YRC website (?) provides links to important sites (e.g., water height/flow, weather, water temp). ?There is also a QR code that is posted right above the sign-in book that gives you access to the water report. So, you can check the flow easily from the boathouse before you go out.?
Please remember to send in your registration form immediately, if you would like to start rowing. The form was sent to you recently and is attached to this email ?It provides notification of the new membership and rack rental fees. Also, if you are using club boats, be sure to follow the rules for reserving a boat.?
