I was given a FT-301S with a similar symptom... generates RF on AM but not CW/SSB. Different modulation circuitry for AM. If this is a frequent problem, I'd love to get a hint where to look. 73 Chuck

Hello everybody, My FT301 has an HF output of 200W on all bands... I suppose that is not normal. When i reduce the drive? (at half on the pot) the power goes down to 100W Is there an alignment to do?
