Not sure what I did but I went to update map tiles and got a message that I needed to update YAAC version. Software reports I am at the latest version. My map has disappeared and restarting program does not bring it back. Any help would be appreciated. Also I am trying to download tiles for a larger radius around my station. Brien - KE7WB

Hello my name is Kevin, I am attempting to change settings on the Configure Beacon page. I'm trying to modify the beacon ambiguity setting. the drop box is available, i change my setting and hit "save changes" close, re-check settings, and find that its back to high precision, attempting to troubleshoot, i was able to change some box check settings but unable to store the ambiguity setting and seemed buggy and some changes wouldn't stay saved. i decided since everything (but that) was configured i exported the xml file to see if i couldn't change the setting and reload the config into YAAC to see if the change was a permission issue? the value was something like "0.0016666" which i assume is linked to the drop box values in the configure beacon page. OS is Linux mint 20.something, i had issues in the past with this and it somehow got saved and left alone but i cant seem to crack this problem. The real bug is the save changes button not doing anything. and second if anyone knows the VALUE for the different ambiguity levels or if that's just a percentage of drift i can modify ill just modify the XML file outside of program and re upload after. linked is the KA2DDO html instructional on that page. and yes i have "None of these changes are activated until the Save Changes button is pushed." into oblivion, i appreciate any in-site into this bug. I have Direwolf V1.7, running on a Raspberry Pi 3, FT-817nd, and using YAAC. YAAC 1.0-beta 196(17-Feb-2024). I've configure things for digipeater and Igate, or at least I think I have. I'm new at this. I see lots of traffic going by in Direwolf. My digipeater beacon shows up on the map on aprs.fi as K1YPP-10. The problem I have is that none of the traffic is showing up on the YAAC map. It only shows K1YPP-10. If I use XASTIR, the map does populate. However both have a common problem: If I use my FT5-d and beacon to my station, nothing shows up on the map, or in Direwolf. If I go out on my porch and put the handheld on high power, I hit NI4CE-10, which is about 20-30 miles from here and it updates aprs.fi with K1YPP-7. For some reason my K1YPP-10 Igate is ignoring things. I'm keeping things up running if someone wants to see what is on aprs.fi. The question is, where do I look to fix things? Like I said, I'm new at this. I have gone through the Direwolf and YAAC documents and haven't really found anything that might address this. Hey guys, Im new to aprs and am hoping to get this running for a backpacking trip in two months. I have both direwolf and yaac able to Rx aprs packets and the gps coordinates through usb dongle. I just need to be able to Tx my position now. When i turn on YAAC the radio keys and wont unkey unless i exit. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Setup goes: Yaesu vx-6r-->digirig-->usbhub-->FZ-M1 windows machine I know an aprs capable radio would make things easier; but, im trying tk get what i currently have functional, despite the headaches haha. Digging out a Quadra I used previously for a presentation on APRS. I am running Direwolf and YAAC. I am using a cheap CM108 sound dongle with the PTT mod. It was receiving, but no indication of transmit. Looking at the PORTS in the config screen, they are red. Opening the edit page on the AGWPE port it says "No such port name on AGWPE server localhost". From what I gather, the pulldown should reveal port name options, but there are none. I've been wandering through the Direwolf config and other settings and find no where to set this port name. It's been several months since I played with this and, sadly, my memory is pretty much shot and I can't remember how I got it working before. It was receiving and displaying packets, now I finally got to where I need to work on getting it transmitting and have hit a wall. Any ideas on setting this port name? I am testing using APRS for POTA spots. TO: POTAGW Via: MSG: WA7SKG K-TEST 146.520 FM VIA APRS Over the air, the message says "VIA APRS{m000b" Subsequent messages have appended {m000c, {m000d, {m000e, etc. What is this string for? I'm trying to get an alert when I receive an incoming message. I have installed the YAAC Sounds plugin. When I go to the Sounds tab to configure, I set the Event Type= Message To, Action=Play Sound, Parameter= (Filter set to WAVE) I choose the folder containing my sounds, but no files show for selection. I've tried extensions of both .WAV and .WAVE. What do I need to do to get the files to show? -- 73, Michael WA7SKG "Any day you do not learn one new thing is a wasted day."

Can someone help me verify what I'm looking at here? I think these two packets mean that WLNK-1 (WinLink) has send a "Login" message to K0ION-7 and both W7BSB-1 and WA7GMX-8 have transmit i-gated it? But why would WinLink be sending a login message? Shouldn't K0ION-7 be sending that to winlink, not the other way around? Thanks. I'm trying to get better at figuring out the packets.

The object for the digipeater that repeats my data shows on my map near my station object. However that digipeater is miles away from my station location. Why does it show up next to my station? Brien - KE7WB

Hi Andrew, Is there a way to disable using the mouse wheel for zooming? I’m on a Mac using a mighty mouse with the touch surface, and it’s too easy to accidentally brush across it and change the zoom. Thanks, Carl.

Also support Allstar, Echolink, IRLP, and Wires-II gateways in repeater Objects, and repeaters in the 10-meter band. 2. properly support repeater definitions using no subtone or DCS. 3. fix auto-answer of APRS Text messages to only happen (even if enabled) when YAAC has determined that its operator is not there (station is unmanned). 4. fix plugin store table to properly identify all installed plugins since the fix for circular plugins dependencies was made. 5. fix order sensitivity of unit tests. 6. fix repeater finder plugin to use above fixes for repeater Objects, and to regenerate the repeater list when the repeater filters are changed. 7. fix sounds plugin to recognize alternate frequency field in repeater objects.

I cant get some plugins to load. Repeater plugin and database for callsigns see to not load properly. I am using the latest version. oh and windows 11. Thanks St6eve kb1chui

I can not seem to get YAAC to transmit a message to ANSRVR to join a group. i only have aprs-is port enabled and transmit is enabled. i open message a station, enter ANSRVR and type in CQ NCMO but it does not show it as being sent?

Greetings, all. Over the last few weeks, you may have gotten an email asking you to re-verify your subscription to this or other groups.io lists. This is a legit email and if you want to remain active, you should verify that it is really you and not a bogus account. This is one of Groups.io’s ways at taking out SPAM. They were apparently unwittingly used as a spam relay, so now they have to ensure all the spammer accounts on groups.io are closed. However, verify the email sender's address and the link they are asking you to use to ensure it is really from them and not from more spammers. Sorry for the inconvenience.
