YAAC not rendering water contained by shoreline

I've noticed that YAAC isn't rendering water that is contained by shoreline ways as being water. This leaves a lot of water area showing up as white space.

Thanks,

Yes, that's a problem I've been wrangling with for quite some time. Dicing up a map into tile squares with large bodies of water makes it hard to figure out which edges of the square are the body of water, and I'm still trying to fix the algorithm.

Dealing with oceans is even worse.?

But I'll keep trying.

Interesting... What data is there in that tile to tell you the base layer of what's there?

It's still not perfect, but in YAAC build #148, I improved the OpenStreetMap importer to support the coastline shapefiles. Why it's still not working perfectly, I'm not entirely sure, but it's an improvement. At least most ocean shorelines will now show a water blue on the map with the new way type "Sea".

More improvements in the map importer for the upcoming build 149, improving the rendering of large bodies of water (and the shorelines near them) significantly.
