Re: YAAC - Installed on inovato Quadra but no USB to TNC option
You still need to tell YAAC what type of equipment you are connecting (a TNC, a GPS receiver, etc.) first, i.e., the YAAC Port Type. Then YAAC will give you a list of physical connection ports

Re: Sound Plugin Stopping
Restarted YAAC last week to restore sound alerts. Been receiving messages almost daily and APRSThursday messages today, all with sound alert. So far so good. I'm hoping it was just a transient glitch.

Re: YAAC - Installed on inovato Quadra but no USB to TNC option
They provide a short adapter cable from the mini-USB connector on the TNC board to a printer-type 'square' USB-B connector. I tried bypassing that adapter with a mini-USB to USB cable, to rule-out an

How is the Argent product wired through the radio case?

Re: YAAC - Installed on inovato Quadra but no USB to TNC option
I'm used to seeing /dev/ttyUSB0, etc. in drop-down menus for port selection. If I add YAAC as a member of the group owning the 'serial port device' /dev/ttyUSB0 - or whatever it turns out to be, will

Re: YAAC - Installed on inovato Quadra but no USB to TNC option
That's because USB isn't a type of TNC or remote sensor. You could have your Argent Data Tracker connected through a motherboard COM port (non-USB) if your computer was old enough to have one; the TNC

Re: YAAC - Installed on inovato Quadra but no USB to TNC option
No. When you install the Argent Data Tracker the Serial Port is no longer accessible. YAAC can't communicate with a USB port?

YAAC - Installed on inovato Quadra but no USB to TNC option
Can YAAC talk to USB? I looked in File -> Configure -> Expert Mode -> Add Port but none of the drop-down options mention USB. My rig is an ALinco DR-135T MkIII with an internal Argent Data Tracker TNC

Re: Sound Plugin Stopping
It doesn't seem to matter the number of messages. I sent a bunch of test messages and so far it is still working. I restarted last Thursday. We'll see what happens this Thursday. It's only been a

Re: Sound Plugin Stopping
I can't be certain, but I am guessing you are exceeding your open file quota by re-opening the same .wav file without ever closing it. As such, eventually YAAC would no longer be open the file. This

Sound Plugin Stopping
After applying the latest update, I am now getting an alert as expected with an incoming message, however, it is not lasting. I participate in the APRS Thursday thing and when I send my report, I get

Re: Monitoring a single port?
Hi Andrew, Ahh, that filters everything, not just the map. Didn¡¯t realise that, thanks! Carl.

Re: Monitoring a single port?
This is a trivially simple operation. Click Filter->Edit Filter. Then go to the Packet Source tab of the Edit Filter dialog, and uncheck all the sources you currently don't want to see. I put this

Monitoring a single port?
Hi Everyone, I have a radio port, and an APRSIS port on my YAAC instance. The APRSIS feed drowns out the RF port when viewing raw packets. Is there any way to filter the raw packet view to just seeing

Re: Getting GPSD to continually update position (update)
Alas, that won't help; u-blox is far more recent than the DeLorme GPSs. On the other hand, if you used a u-blox GPS with GPSD, it's entirely probable that GPSD switched the GPS into u-blox proprietary

Re: Getting GPSD to continually update position (update)
Andrew, it's a u-blox. What model i don't recall, however it is several years old.I used a puck style unit and it works with Linux, so the problem was definitely with the u-blox.With the information

Re: Getting GPSD to continually update position (update)
Hmmm.... is this one of the old DeLorme TripMate or EarthMate GPSs? They had a characteristic of sending a model announcement string, and wouldn't do anything else until that string was echoed back by

Re: Getting GPSD to continually update position (update)
Again, thank you for the help Andrew. Using your suggestion i found that the GPS module signs on with some kind of header and then fails to send anymore information to YAAC. While it will stream to a
