Blocks for jibsheets

I'm about to replace them, but I notice that the latest Wayfarers have blocks to lead the jibsheet. Does anyone have any experience of using blocks on a Wanderer? Get

Of course for cruising you can do anything, though this may affect the value of your boat when you come to sell it.? Mike?
