In the aftermath of the US elections (I hope everyone has recovered a bit from the shock/celebration: cross out what doesn¡¯t fit), I came across this video from a few months ago by Nicole Shanahan (Robert F. Kennedy Jr.¡¯s former running mate), where she briefly talks about Steiner. In the conversation with physicist Eric Weinstein she says she¡¯s been reading Steiner and she names Ahriman and Lucifer. She calls it ¡®inevitable¡¯ that we live with these forces and claims that for humanity to move forward things have to be in the middle of these forces.

Not sure what this means now that Trump has nominated Kennedy as Secretary of Health and Human Services. But for me it goes to show that these ideas are not something from 100 years ago. They still circulate and now in the environment of US government (among other nefarious ideas).

PS: on a lighter sidenote. I found this interesting book by historian Tom Holland (title: in the shadow of the sword) where he discusses zoroastrianism (where Steiner got the idea of a balance between good and evil and some sort of middle ground between them). Apparently the Persians applied this idea even to their beards. They claimed their beards were ¡®just right¡¯, not to curly and not to straight. I just couldn¡¯t keep this to myself :-)
