Looking for some elmer'ing

Looking for an overview before upgrading to a new d-star repeater and gateway (i.e., robust computer).?
Could be a conference call talk through, links to presentations and/or links to known, updated and correct
documentation or all of the above.

Much appreciate any help.

We link our W4FJ gateway for the 23cm, 70cm, and 2m repeaters to REF062D at 8pm on Wed night for our weekly net.? This allows anyone who is using RF on the Richmond area W4FJ repeaters to hear everyone else.? For example, if someone is using 23cm and they talk - everyone on the 70cm and 2m repeaters will hear his/her discussion.

Additionally, if you are using a DVAP/Dongle/Hotspot/etc - you connect it directly to REF062D as well.? That allows you to hear everyone on the W4FJ repeater stack (all RF users) as well as anyone else using DVAP/Dongle/...

Simple answer is this:
IF you use RF, no changes are necessary
IF you use a DVAP/Dongle/Hotspot - connect to REF062D @ 8pm on Wed night

W4FJ B (70cm/UHF) is linked to Dayton until Sunday evening

I have changed the default link for W4FJ B (70cm/UHF) to REF038C - The Dayton Hamvention D-Star reflector.

Weekly Net Linking update

 

REF007D seem to be dead.? We've tried contacting the "owner" of the reflector to no avail.? While the W4FJ admin team is working on finding another host for our weekly nets; we are simply using the W4FJ B (70cm/UHF) module for the net.
?
This means connect your DVAP/HOTSPOT/DONGLE/whatever to "W4FJ? ?B" INSTEAD of "REF007D"
?
We'll update the Google Group and Groups.io forums with details as we work them.

Win Grant (WA4SSG) reset the UPS at the repeater site; looks like we had a battery failure!? The gateway computer was powered back on and we're back in business!!!
