Help with Modified MKCM SPE Amp.json
Hi Alan? The frstack takes ?about 15-20 sec to connect to the radio then if I do anything in frs it locks up :(? I am not to sure about a raspberry pi if I have high end computer. ?I would consider a different operating systems but only if I can all my stuff working .? I keep node red running for the dashboard,? |
mkdir foldername You might need to create the folders one at a time, top down if they don't already exist. On Mon, Mar 29, 2021, 5:10 PM Nick M via <w7nik=[email protected]> wrote: My errors now are unassigned directories.? |

You do not need to make anything for Windows FRStack install. Go to the MKCM Software web site: Select the link for Windows FRStack: Click the link to download Windows FRStack: In your downloads folder, double click on the "FRStack3Setup (1)" file. FRStack will do the rest. ?Just watch it install. ?It will ask you questions as it installs itself. ?You will have to tell windows to "keep" the file and allow FRStack ?to select the default file directory and make a desktop shortcut, if you like. 开云体育Sorry Alan the node red dashboard directories ?sorry about that .? I got the , Spe,amp controls, sensors and ?active slice working,? All my errors are unassigned ?location in the flow .? On Mar 29, 2021, at 3:31 PM, Alan Blind, WA9WUD <a.alan.blind@...> wrote:

Nick OK, I mis-understood. Now, for Windows Node-Red.? Here is a link to the install instructions. First, you need to install Node.js.? Click on the link in the instructions.? From that website, you can download and install Node.js.? Do not install the optional tools. Next, from the CMD prompt, ?install and run?Node-Red.? The install command will run a script and do the complete install: Alan |
Ok , I would like to know more ,?
I had it all running 90%, steppir, Spe amp on my dashboard board . I have a difficult time were to put in the 127.0.0.url ( windows number :) I read something loop back if NDR and FRS is running on the same computer. what does the amp and sda want , binary strings ,parse, ignore? I try 4 different ways and then it works .Reasons is because I had it all running looking good then I did not save or export and lost it all .:)? the slices ( half running) ?, global , profiles, tx band ?mic settings , I have not had any luck , if I go in the FRS software all my stuff is running and working. Radio connections? I already have Dave flow pulling data from the radio , I need instructions like paint by numbers ? If anyone remember that :)? thank you for ham radio support. ! -- Nick W7NIK |
开云体育We need someone running FRStack and Node Red on a PC to write a WiKi exclusively for that configuration.I use a Pi 4 so not much help with Windoze version of NR. Off to the land of the Little Brown Trucks (UPS) to pick up my Power Genius XL. ;-) You know what I will be doing today.... 73 Dave wo2x On Mar 30, 2021, at 9:44 AM, Nick M via groups.io <w7nik@...> wrote:

As I recall, we previously set your system up with Node-Red FRStack both on the same Raspberry Pi. Now, you seem to desire to set up both Node-Red and FRStack on the same Windows PC.....correct? So far, you have Node-Red installed on the Windows PC and you have FRStack installed on the Windows PC....correct? In the Node-Red connection flow, you have entered "127.0.0.1:13522/api" into the "Set Parameters Here" node....correct? Note: since both Node-Red and FRStack are on the same device, you can use either the "loopback" IP address (127.0.0.1) or you can use "localhost". ? 13522 is the port number for Windows FRStack and "/api" adjusts for the differences in REST command structure for Windows vs Raspberry Pi FRStack REST commands. Now, to set up your SPE amp connection. ?Recall in Raspberry Pi FRStack, we modified the "appsettings.json" file. ?In Windows FRStack, the SPE amp settings are changed using the Windows Desktop FRStack Interface. Move the USB cable now connecting the SPE amp to your Raspberry Pi to your Windows PC. We must now get the "COM" number used by the cable. ?Open up "Device Manager". ?Look for "Ports and COM" and expand the list. ? Look for the USB cable you just plugged in and note the "COM" port that windows assigned to it. ?If you are not certain of the cable, unplug it and note which cable disappears from the list. ?Plug the cable back in....thats the COM port you will need. We will enter the COM port into FRStack later, so for now, just remember what it is. Double click on the Windows FRStack Application icon to start the application. ?Here is a screenshot of mine: There is a "Client Chooser" pulldown in the upper left. ?If you have multiple clients, select the client you want FRStack to bind too. Then, click on "View" pulldown. ?At the bottom of the pull down, select "Options" In the "Options" window, select the "SPE" tab. (your tabs may be in a different order) Configure the SPE amp settings as you want. ?Be sure to select the port number your SPE USB cable is using. ?This is the SPE Cable COM port you got from the Device Manager earlier: Click OK. You should now be all set up to use your Node-Red SPE amp dashboard. Another nice feature, is you can also use the FRStack Windows interface for the SPE amp. ?You can also use the Node-Red Dashboard at the same time. Back on the main FRStack Window desktop interface, select the pulldown, " View". ? Select "SPE Window". ?You will now see the FRStack Windows Desktop SPE control window: Alan. WA9WUD |
开云体育NickYou should have the file called allflows with the date when we did the alNtronix flow. That should be a good starting point for you.? I recommend a Pi. You can clone the microSD card and also enable Projects to keep your production stuff intact when working on mew flows.? 73 Dave wo2x Sent from my waxed string and tin cans.? 开云体育Nice! And I bet it feels very rewarding when you get it going.I’ve been swamped this week with a lot of stuff going on. 3 doctors spots next two days and haven’t moved the amp into its permanent place or had time for Node Red . Hopefully by Monday I will slow down... 73 Dave wo2x On Mar 31, 2021, at 11:46 PM, Nick M via groups.io <w7nik@...> wrote:

Looks good, Nick You have some empty space you could fill in. ? You liked the global selectors, ?Those would fill in some of the empty space of your main dashboard.?
