Re: Kenwood CAT relay boards
Alan I just went out and traced/ measured the circuits 1) I stand corrected the 12V board uses 12V relays 2) On this board the T1/D1/R2 is a separate chip (array of 8) tied to 12V bus 3) the

Re: Kenwood CAT relay boards
Interesting The 5V board they show is identical to the 12V board with the 5V regulator circuit removed ( upper left hand corner. of the Pic#4... LM2576 and 3 caps gone, populated on the 12V version)

Re: Kenwood CAT relay boards
I looked thru the Q&A for the board. ?It appears the 12V is hardwired to both the optocoupler and the relay coil. ?In that case, the GPIO pin will fail. I see a poster to the comments section

Re: Kenwood CAT relay boards
One word of caution. The 12v board you show is probably of the optical isolation type circuit. The "input" side is an optical diode, that when set to ground, via the GPIO pin, operates the other side

Kenwood CAT relay boards
Alan et all That is a great find. and unlike many of the other relay boards out there, It has actual specs, documentation and a schematic. A bit pricey but not bad. In the end I am going to need more

Re: Rotor flow updates
Good work Dave. Here is a screenshot of my Rotor/Target Control Flow along side MLDX. My SteppIR Yagi is in the "Bi Directional" mode, so you see the extra "beam" on the map, showing the "180-bi" beam

Re: Kenwood CAT to relay example.json Serial Port Success
I call that the "plate of spaghetti" phase of the project. I found these boards were very helpful in cleaning up a project. ?Combines a 12v to 5v power supply (RF clean), Raspberry Pi mounting and

No. RT21 direct USB to Pi. GHE server is limited to what it can communicate with. Dave wo2x Sent from my waxed string and tin cans.

The flow I gave you should show actual beam heading in green. Target heading in red. Dave wo2x Sent from my waxed string and tin cans.

The thing I miss with the version I have is that the rotor selection cursor does not show the heading it is on¡. HRD for example shows the heading wherever the pointer is on the map Non praeses meus

Tnx gonna be a couple of days Tomorrow is lower antennas and pick up the yard day in prep for tropical storm Fred and then I have to package the R-PI and relay board, right now everything is spread

I decided to move the Green Heron RT21 direct to the Pi. Got everything with that working fine. Added connectors for N1MM+ and N3FJP AC Log. Enter a call in either log program¡¯s entry window and hit

Kenwood CAT to relay example.json Serial Port Success
In the final analysis The key to getting the serial data out of the serial input node was in getting the Input parameters setup correctly. In my case (YMMV) in the port setup under INPUT parameters 1)
