KPA500 flow

Hi Gary

I deleted it from my RPI, but I know it backed it up... somewhere.? :)? I'll find it.??

I might have to restore a backup to another site to find it.??

I never completed it, but it is 'good enough'.? I never wrote the part to handle alarms.

Re: Elecraft KPA500

Dave,

Total node-RED newbie here. First heard about it during the QSO virtual hamfest. I don't know what I don't know!?

To control the KPA500:
- What are the hardware requirements?
- RPi? What version, etc.
- Does it connect to the RS-232 jack on the KPA500?
- If I get the hardware setup is it possible to install a copy of a proven Flow for the KPA500?
- Is there documentation that would describe what I need to get started?

Sorry for such basic questions but this is new to me.

Thanks in advance,
Jack

Thanks for the response Dave,
I received instructions from Flex regarding the requirement to have the PS to the radio on for at least 2 minutes before turning on the radio either remotely or from the front panel. I have manually been doing this for a short time now and it seems to be working.
Again thanks for your flow and help,
Dave

You can have the Flex relay turn on first, then DC supply. The radio should boot normal.

Personally I leave the DC supply and radio on all the time but have the option to turn them off.

I do shut off the amp when not operating.

You can use the delay node to create the sequencing.

Help with addition to DLI flow

Dave

All:
I am using WO2X flow for the DLI switch to control my power supplies and a Flex 6600 radio remotely.? The Flex requires that the power supply for the radio be turned on 2 to 3 minutes prior to turning on the radio and the power supply should wait to turn off 2 to 3 minutes after the radio is turned off to be turned off.? I am looking for help to add to the WO2X flow two buttons/switches that will sequence the on/off of the radio and supply with the proper delay.? Thanks for any help - 73,

The KPA500 Commands are available through the amps serial interface. I just started working on getting node-red to talk to the KPA500 and will report back when/if I get things working.

Re: Elecraft KPA500

I have been using the remoterig smart switch¡¯s (2) for years with multiple system with no issues at all. Extremely reliable product. You may as y need an external relay for your amp, I think there relays are limited to 10 amps. (Manual and specs in there web site)0
I ordered mine direct with no issues.
Hope this helps,

I believe Mike, VA3MW does.

I have a flow for the KPA1500 but mine is through the TCP network.

Re: Added Folder /SWR Alarm Tiles, Including "Highest" SWR Presentation #file-notice

Do you have multiple sources of SWR and need to consolidate the SWR readings?

This flow will read the SWR from each device, display the result on a tile and turn the tile background color to represent; Danger, High, and Normal SWR ranges.?

A separate,?"High SWR" tile, will display the SWR only from the device with the highest output and change background colors according to the level.?Nice to use on your station dashboard to see at a glance the device indicative of the highest SWR and alarms if high.?

Devices already interfaced include; Flex Server, PG-XL, HF-Auto Tuner, SPE 2K amp, and Alpha SWR Meter.

Multiple files are included in this folder.?Devices included in the flow are shown in the file name.?Easiest to use with my "WA9WUD" FRStack flows.?

Here is a screenshot of the panel with all of the tiles:
