Re: AUDIO OUT node not working?

Have you looked to see if there are any extensions in your Chrome Browser. I've seen extensions?do strange?stuff.

I also assume you have deleted cookies and cache..

Re: AUDIO OUT node not working?

Oops...I stand corrected. I do hear the sound from your demo. I forgot that I had my speaker turned down because I was working some FT8 a little while ago. Sorry about the confusion.
But....I still hear no audio from my flow when using Chrome.

Re: Advice for building a new Node Red RPi-3B+ in 2025

Node Red does not need much horsepower. I am using it for station control and running it on a RPi Zero2W. It runs just fine on this minimal RPi!

Re: AUDIO OUT node not working?

Thank you Adrian. I got no sound when trying your demo. I did follow the instructions for allowing sound, but it still does not put through any sound. Here is a screenshot of the Chrome sound settings:

IS there anything else that you can think of that might get this to work on Chrome. It used to and I did not change anything so I think it must be something that broke it in one of the myriad Chrome updates they through at us!

Re: AUDIO OUT node not working?

FWIW, I have determined that the problem is in the Chrome browser (W11). I figured that out because I tried using the Microsoft Edge browser and the audio did work on that. If anyone has any idea of how to get it to work on the Chrome browser, I would appreciate it.

Re: AUDIO OUT node not working?

Thanks Dave. I updated everything that had updates available. Still no joy. I tried a test with just the inject node and the audio out node and got no audio. The audio node says it is playing, but I hear nothing. I did make sure the browser (Chrome) did have audio enabled but still nothing. Does anyone have any further insight of suggestion as to why I am not hearing any audio? FWIW, I have normal audio from youtube etc., through the same browser.
Tnx de Arnie W8DU.

Here is the flow I am using:

In the editor, in upper right corner click on the 3 horizontal lines. Choose Manage Pallette

In the Nodes tab scroll down and look for any that show the option to update.

Thanks Marty. I feel kind of sheepish to ask this, but it has been a I while since I messed with nodered....How do I update the node?

Re: AUDIO OUT node not working?

Have you tried updating the node? Or create a test tab and use the inject to trigger a message to the audio?

In my case the event of detecting a lightning strike occurs long before it matters to me. I trust the shut down process. So I send a email with a time stamp. Then I can review the events later. You know I am not always in front of my daashboard.

Just another mouse trap.

Re: OM Module Flow

Hi there,
?
I?m using the OM Module to switch stackmatches, but it works only with the windows tool for me. I?m not so deep into nodered that I?ll be able to program this.
The other side is, that it should not take such big space on the dashboard. I?m running Apple devices, IPad, IPhone, MacbookAir, all with relatively small displays.
Does anyone have a working flow to control the outputs and is it possible to activate them per Band like in windows tool?

The WiKi on this site has a step by step tutorial on installing the OS on the Pi as well as configuring Node Red and being ready to load your first flow.

Bill,

I am a neophyte when it comes to Node Red and Raspberry Pi's.

I've started with a #310 and a #321 card here

The #310 has a Pi (a 3 I believe) already installed with several Node Red Flow's pre-installed.?

I have access to? Node Red on the Pi and plan to start adding some flow's for Flex equipment.? I was able to use one of the relays on the GPIO card so I can turn my 8600 on and off via the remote rca jack on the back of the rig.

I have a lot to learn and seemed like the Sierra Radio Modules were a good place to start.

I've also ordered a Pi 4b and 3B+ for experimentation.? This should keep me out of the bar's and off the streets for a while.

Re: Rasp Pi - What do I need?

Bill

Either a 4 or a 5 will suit your needs. Vilros has both models available. Be sure to purchase the correct power supply with the model you purchase as it will have the correct amperage. Prices are within $20 of each other.

Both models have 40 GPIO pins. Some contain voltage and some are grounds which you will not be utilizing for io operations.?

When considering a case, ensure you can freely attach any cables or wires. Some fan cases will block a ribbon cable. ?

Once you go production you may want to consider a second Pi and supply to sandbox (test machine) any new hardware or software.

Reference theWiki to get you started and creating your first image. Backup SD cards are your friend.

Frank, Zoom work? If so I'll send a meeting link in 15-20 minutes. Have to drop off a package to a neighbor that got delivered to me by mistake.
