Re: sensitivity (instability)
My unshielded "worse" clone is quite immune to proximity effects. In fact, the only time it became a problem was an SMA cable gone defective, presumably a poor crimp between connector and cable braid

Somehow got the wrong photo. Here is the correct one: /g/nanovna-users/photo/0/416?p=Created,,,20,2,400,0 and /g/nanovna-users/photo/0/417?p=Created,,,20,2,400,0

Re: Batteries
NOTE: the order of the contacts I show below are NOT in any particular sequence!? If you have the device that battery came out of, you can check which contact is ground and which is positive.

Re: Some required setting for NanoVNA-saver using female calibrations
Not sure. I often use port extensions when measuring a DUT with a different cable. Being able to quickly rotate the cable away during regular measurement is a very nice feature. Also it would help if

Hello Kurt, a value of 1 should work. But I haven't had time to test it thoroughly :-) I will look into making a value of 0 work as well, or give an error if it is not possible. "Port extension" delay

Re: Batteries
TL;DR: if unsure, ONLY use cells >= 2400mAh and <= 10000mAh with the Nano. The reason for the upper limit is a bit more subtle; it's due to the fact that the charge cut-off current is fixed (100mA),

Re: Batteries
The IP5305 can not limit current to a "safe" value for the battery because it doesn't know what the battery's capacity is. It simply limits current to 1.2A or whatever the USB port can supply,
