Re: Unusual SAA-2N fw version #firmware
Thank you Prem. Nice to see that you got the same device. Also mine is working fine. I think I will also update it to DiSlord fw soon. 73 Roberto IK2DID

Re: Is my new Nano defective and noisy?
I suggest that you try scanning a simple, known-good load - specifically, a good 50-ohm dummy load. Then, try a 100-ohm resistor, and then a 25-ohm resistor. Then, a small capacitor in series with

Re: Would it be possible to use a NanoVNA and a RTL-SDR dongle for IF alignment of AM and FM receivers?
The tinySA has a much better and more robust signal generator and is worth every penny it costs and it's all also nice to have both devices.

Re: Is my new Nano defective and noisy?
Have a look at the calibration menu and make sure there is a checkmark in the APPLY button. Also, make sure you calibrate the unit for the range you're using and save it to a specific memory slot.

Is my new Nano defective and noisy?
I am new to VNA's, so it may be an operator error. I'm trying to use my NanoVNA, but the SWR waveform line varies about three decimal points, say 1.3to1 to 1.6 to 1 and looks like a jagged mess. It

Re: Would it be possible to use a NanoVNA and a RTL-SDR dongle for IF alignment of AM and FM receivers?
This is an interesting question - most receivers these days don't have long chains of tuned coupling transformers, etc. and don't require "alignment" per-se. You'd maybe have a single filter that
