I like TinyURL for pasting links into email.

With the Preview feature, you can see what the destination will be

Re: Deal on ebay

No, he still has them for sale - and a number of other things.? He has sold 130 NanoVNAs.? Now there is another Hong Kong seller selling them for $16.99.? That, in my mind, makes it less likely that the low price was a listing error and more likely it is a scam.? We buyers will get our money back if it is a scam? - eBay or Paypal will get stuck.? The log delivery time of 4-6 weeks means we won't know until mid- Nov.
Or, they might be dumping inventory to get liquidity.? Perhaps having something to do with the unrest?

Probably a hijacked account.

Accounts do tend to get hijacked at the weekend, as legit sellers often not
working then.

Re: Another modified nanoVNA software

Hi @neb40gsm, may I request for a copy of your software to test thanks a lot!

Re: Deal on ebay

I wonder if both accounts might have been hijacked.
Both sellers are in Hong Kong and China is trying its best to make Hong Kong look bad to the rest of the world.
Just a thought - but you never know.
I guess we'll all find out if eBay gives us back our money.

Hi Kurt many thanks for sharing the documents related to transmission line and calibration kits. I have a lot to learn about it. In the workplace I used VNA for years, but I was focused on developing programs to automate measurements. I had experience with hp8510C, hp8753D . I remember the satisfaction I experienced the first time I completed the Calibration procedure and subsequent verification with verification kit in 2.4mm on the first attempt.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I count over 50 different items still for sell on his eBay store ( ).

If it is a scam whoever bought one will be in good company as he has sold over a hundred nanoVNA's, and they shouldn't have any problems getting a refund from eBay if that many complaints start pouring in.

On the other hand, this seller ( ) at $17 I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole. Limited number of feedbacks, all feedback has almost identical wording, delivery date could be as long as 6th Dec.

Re: NanoVNA V2 own build with the results

Hi Erik,
congrats! But one fundamental question: Why do you connect the output of your bridge with an oscillator? (a joke or a mistake ?)
Another question: You have 3 mixers, but only two audio channels. ???

from this thread they sold out quickly! :-))

Re: NanoVNA V2 - I vote for a larger instrument...

As for remote control via smartphone, a simple way to do it would be to
leave the USART2 pins available for external serial connection (that is PA2
and PA3), from there, an external additional bluetooth serial adapter
(HC-06 for instance) would make the commands available to a smartphone.
Currently PA2 and PA3 and used for the switches, but I can see that other
I/O pins are available.

I would like to have the option of controlling my VNA via a smartphone or
a tablet.
I believe this is the way the industry is going for portable
instrumentation.
I saw two examples this summer.
The Army Corps of Engineers is surveying the beaches here in New Jersey
for coastal erosion. The GPS receiver is mounted on a pole with the antenna
on top and the data was collected on a tablet. This remote interface was
handy because the receiver mounted on the pole had to be placed in the surf.
I had a service call with Comcast to replace a faulty cable box. The tech
used a test set which was controlled and monitored with his smartphone. He
used it to check signal levels at various points, some with were tight and
he could analyze in a comfortable position instead of crouching down.
The MetroVNA and Sark VNA have bluetooth, it shoulc be included in the
next version of nanaVNA.

Re: Is there an Android app for the NanoVNA?

Edited

Oh, sorry - I saw that you already have tried the WebUSB application.
What about grabbing the Python copy of Rune's Saver app and trying to run it on an implementation of Android Python?

I've already looked around for Android centric VNA apps - not much out there.

Is there an Android app for the NanoVNA?

Is there an Android app for the NanoVNA, perhaps something similar to blueVNA from
Dan Toma YO3GGX that performs perfectly with the mrs VNA?
Dan has advised that he has too many other projects at the moment to embark on another.

The cho45/NanoVNA-Web-Client works fine for me on Windows but fails to connect on both my Android tablet and phone.

Re: This is the most active group/list I subscribe to

Dave,

There are so many messages because the nanaVNA is a technology disrupter, a piece of test equipment at a great price that a ham or hobbyist can use and experiment with.
You have a delete key.
I vote for keeping the messages and ideas coming. As new versions are developed new groups are being formed.

Re: Si5351A max fundamental frequency

Thanks!

If at all possible please make it so, that the max usable fundamental frequency (MUFF) can be set through the USB also, e.g. from NanoVNA-Saver.

Bo

Re: Si5351A max fundamental frequency

Due to cheap chines manufacturing one may expect out of spec SI5351 to be used so having a firmware where one can set the max SI5351 fundamental frequency does make sense.
I will submit a request to edy555

Re: NanoVNA-Saver 0.0.12

I agree a little wider trace would be good.?? Also can the data scaling factor limits be floating point rather than fixed point (whole numbers).? For example, when scaling VSWR I would like to have choice of maximum values of 1.5 instead of 2.

Thanks Rude for best nanovna pc software.
