Click on "NaonVAN-APP-exe". It will open a new page. On the right near the top is a Download icon.

Hi Fred,

I ran into the same issue. Right-click on the link, and then click on ¡°Save link as...¡±. That should allow you to save it into your download folder.

nanovna-app

Is there someone in the group that can point me to a working link where I
can download the nanovna-app? This is the application that one-of-eleven

nanovna-saver.

Managing markers gets me crazy

Hi. Managing multiple markers is often getting me crazy. Is there a documentation describing it in details? For example:
1) I f I set MARKER1 with TRACKING and SEARCH MINUMUM (e.g. searching the minimum SWR), can I set MARKER2 and 3 without the said feature (e.g. to be moved freely)?
2) Can I set a marker in order to search a specific value (e.g. SWR = 2)?
3) Can I set markers with a different colour of the associated trace (e.g. SWR trace in yellow and related markersd in blue?
4) What is the exact meaning of E-DELAY?
... and so on.
Thanks for your help.

Re: NanoVNA H4, Windows 11 and firmware update

Back about a week ago somebody else had a similar problem w/win 11. (I still run win 7) Seems there are some software switches that need setting for the COM ports. (no I'm not sure which article I saw it in)

Hi. I know that this topic has been covered a lot. However I can't make my NanoVNA be recognised by my PC running Windows 11 64-bit (latest version) using the DFU SE. Please note:
1) I have read and followed the beginners guide
2) I installed the driver, but no devices appear in the "Available DFU devices" upper selector in the DFU SE.
3) In the device manager, when I set my NanoVNA H4 in DFU mode, it appeard as "STM32 Bootloader" under "USB devices"
4) It does the same with my TinySA Ultra
5) If I use the STM32 Cube programmer, the NanovNA H4 is perfectly recognized, but it can manage only .bin files (no .dfu ones) and not all the FW versions are available in this format
6) For the over stated reason, I can easily update the firmware of my TinySA Ultra, but not the NanoVNA

I have heard that .dfu files can be converted into .bin files. This could solve definitely my problem. However I can't find specific and accurate instructions about that.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks. ?

Re: Saver question

Thanks for the info. Question. I went to the site you referenced and saw
2 references to 1.2.24. Are these just updates to 1.2.24 or are they
complete installs? because I looked at the two 1.2.24 references and they
were each a different size.

Is 1.2.24 available on GitHub?

Fred

My current level of code on my NanoVNA is 1.0.64 .

What is the latest hardware version of the NanoVNA-H4? And is there a
(minor) update planned, such as protection diodes, or something similar?
The latest version of the -H4 that I am aware of is version 4.3 which was released about 18 months ago by Hugen. It is a mature product and there probably won't be any more updates unless some parts become unavailable and he needs to do a circuit change. He did put a better 4" IPS display in the tinySA Ultra so maybe he is now using that in the current production runs of the -H4. .
A NanoVNA-H4 running "Auto" mode outputs 0.8 dBm at 30 MHz. so this precludes using any "protection diodes" on the front end. But the input impedance is 50 ohms and there have not been any reports of ESD damage that I have read in this group. That said users should exercise caution when handling the device, short antenna terminals before connecting them and not transmit when the NanoVNA is measuring a nearby antenna.
Roger
The NanoVNA2 with the RF switches in the front end is the one that's more ESD sensitive. Roger's right on the basic NanoVNAs - there's plenty of resistors behind the connector.
