Process of manufacturing a product
Hi,
Seeing how several products now were released with a Chinese manufacturer (NanoVNAs, TinySA on the Zeenko store), including a nicely looking case and handling of orders: is there some write up of what was necessary to go from a hardware prototype to this? Cooperating with a seller/manufacturer seems a good option to keep the service side manageable. But I wonder how it all comes together, since I suppose the case is not made by the same people as the PCB or the assembly. And as at least one designer is in Europe, not in China, sending things back and forth would certainly not be cost effective. If there were some practical write ups (besides just open sourcing a product and waiting for clones, and therefore having no business at all)? Best regards, Ma?l H?rz |
Re: Saver question
This two files are the last Firmware for NanoVna Devices, two types; for H or H4.
Yo can use with other programs or applications If You want for upgrade the VNAs Firmware... (STM32Cube Programmer or Android app...) I just realize now; that Fws are available seperetly too... If You download only the DiSlord-application "exe" You dont have the seperated files, but also can You make a upgrade; because DiSlord integrated his Firmwares inside the app. (easy way) Your question was not clear for me "Are these just updates to 1.2.24 or are they complete installs?" - these are complete Firmwares. - We were talking about FW when I recommended the application... - nice :) - I hope it's understandable |

?I never said the right click? ¡°Save link as...¡± doesn't work I only pointed out one way to download the executable which I believe the OP asked for... It's not that complicated! Geoff - AB6BT On 7/12/2023 5:19 PM, ±õ²õ³Ù±¹¨¢²Ô wrote:

Good evening Istvan. I think that both of those numbers 1,2,24 for the H

and the H4 are code levels for the basic operation of the NanoVNA and are not relevant to the NanoVNA-exe. NanoVNA-EXE is a program that runs on your computer like NanoVNA-saver. Both of those applications use the NanoVNA data and present that data on a larger screen, your computer screen.. I hope I explained that well enough without going into more detail. So, is there a Wintel executable, or do we have to compile it ourselves? If so, how do we do that? |

Good point, Geoff. I neglected to take that into account with my reply.

Go up two levels to the main page at Look for the Green box with the word Code and a triangle pointed down. Left mouse click on the green box and select ¡°Download ZIP¡± That should get you the code. Richard N7NT On Jul 12, 2023, at 2:28 PM, Fred Moore <n40cla@...> wrote: |

Hi Fred,
I ran into the same issue. Right-click on the link, and then click on ¡°Save link as...¡±. That should allow you to save it into your download folder. Thanks for the link, however I can not find a way to download the app. Usually there is a list of applications and all you need to do is click on the one you want and that starts the download. But I can not find anything at that link that leads me to the download. What am I missing? Fred |
