NEW: Firmware Archive Created in Files Section

Folks,
I have just uploaded 40+ versions of NanoVNA DFU files dating from May 5th through to yesterday.
All the files are publicly available either here or from various user's Google Drives or archives.
They are sorted according to who created them.
The approximate build date is in the filename.

Some of these releases have BUGS - newer ones most likely have bug-fixes and newer functions.
Read the forum posts by the authors of these releases for more info.

NO support will be provided by me (as the uploader) - please contact the folks that created the software.
They are testing, recovery and any other use you can think of.

NOTE: If you created any of these DFU files and would like me to remove them, please contact me through a PRIVATE message.

Thanks,
Larry

Re: Deal on ebay

Trygve, I have made my notes into a "Tips for New Users" write up. You may find it helpful. I have attached it.

Re: New Firmware Archive in Files section

On your desktop browser, the files link is in the left column.
On a mobile device, click the 3 horiz bars at the bottom of the MSG to see what would normally be to the left.

Re: New Firmware Archive in Files section

I just realized that I named it 'New firmware...' when I meant it's a new archive of old firmware. I'll fix the meaning.

As for new firmware, anyone can add to the files area...even you.
There is nothing stopping another person from creating another firmware archive folder starting from today, going forward. ....

Ok. Good luck with your vna.

Hi David
Yes, maybe. But I'd like to have the choice of selecting different subject
areas o look at rather than be completely ignorant of anything I had
blocked.

Can the controller split the site into different subject areas: like,

Once again, I vote for a larger version. As I
said earlier, I would like one to be tablet size

probably be willing to pay a fair price for a
larger, more robust instrument. I typically use
my RF test equipment of this type in the field,
rarely if ever up a tower, often at the tower
base, not so much on the bench. I want something
I can easily see and use a touch screen that
works with real fingers, not fingers I have to
first stick in a pencil sharpener.
The user base does seem to be split into two.

1) Those like you and I that want to use the instrument outside and want a
large screen to make it more usable.

2) Those that want to use it as a lab instrument, and so don't care too
much for the screen size, as they will use a PC.

The idea of using the nanoVNA in conjunction with
a phone for a larger screen or a tablet for a
tablet size screen does not appeal to me.

Same here.

For me,
a VNA is a tool, not a project - making an
antenna work properly is the project.
Yes, me too. But for those that want to use it in a lab, things are quite
different.

advanced electronics and mathematics. Good idea to to grips with your scope

Re: NanoVNA does not want to start -solved

Edited

Mystic..... I put together a test board on the ip5306. It works for a long time at a current above 45mA. Do not forget that using ip5306, the charge current will be at the level of 1.2 amperes, taking into account the current loss in the usb cable, this will lead to an early bloating of the battery and its failure.
There is a suspicion of a partial breakdown of the smd capacitor.
Assemble a test, separate board using your ip5303, and other components in its bundle.
I¡¯ll clarify, I indicated the current consumption between ip5303 and nano (~ 90-110mA).

Keep us informed, well, very interesting ;))

Thanks for that.... So much easier than searching all over the place. Will you be adding future FWs?

Re: Installed recent firmware - was this a big mistake?

'Baud' rate?? - yer showing your age..... ;-)
In any case, when it comes to PCs and USB interfaces, they normally run at the fastest available speed as a default.
That means typically 115Kb/s.

You can force slower speeds by going into the devices window, selecting the device and changing its parameters there.

Hope that helps.
