Thanks, yes, I read that article.? It’s for a vertical loop, not horizontal.? I don’t have a straight ~200ft run of open space down at ground level or 100ft trees, either. ? The idea of only a full wavelength for the entire loop can be done here, since it doesn’t really need to be perfectly square.? I might be able to get it up to 60-65ft.? But NO WHERE have I found good information about takeoff angles.? I don’t want NVIS; I can work the neighborhood with a Slinky toy if that was the goal. ? My venerable EFHW wound up parting when I hung it as an Inverted L.? Living on a ridge line means having trees that REALLY whip around in the winds.? No amount of bungy cords, pulleys, etc., can accommodate that much quick, dynamic movement. ? My essential issue is land.? The lot is just a little less than 0.5 acre, and half of it is evergreens.?
