The NCCC has a rule designed for days like today:? “If it stops being fun, go do something else.”? 15 opened, sorta, but no one was there—several 7s and CO and NC, the latter two were loud but after many unanswered CQs I stopped for lunch. ? ?????????????? I’m at 420 QSOs, 63 mults.? Got DE (twice), ME and ND but went looking for RI and VT in the NEQP and couldn’t hear a single station with a 1 in the call.? I haven’t done FD since 1986 with KL7GPG (Giant Purple Gorilla)/Juneau ARC.? Obviously, we wouldn’t have tried 160M up there, since it daylight the whole time. ? ?

I found a ladder line lightning arrestor for $105 plus tax and shipping, so if anyone knows a cheaper option then please let us know.? Here’s the link to the ladder line lightning surge suppressor? I called Pacific Welding Supplies @ 360-373-2529 and spoke to David this time and he quoted $104.95 plus tax to rent a 150 cubic foot cylinder of helium every time we fly.? Perhaps between David and Terry at Pacific Welding Supplies and after I tell them why we need the helium they will reduce the price and wave the deposit.

?????????????? That’s fine but you shouldn’t bear the costs—I should because it’s my use of the call that generates the need for QSL cards.? Please let me know the costs. ? ??????????????
