ARRL West Gulf Division election
This short post will probably be of interest to folks who are ARRL members. I am wholeheartedly endorsing John Robert Stratton, N5AUS, for Director in the ARRL. I have known John and worked with him and Dr. David Woolweaver for many years and can honestly say that I don't know anybody else that puts forth the dedication and work that he has to benefit all of us, including non members. I think he is doing a fantastic job and do not see any reason to replace him. The other candidate for this election has no league experience to my knowledge. I read his candidate statement and saw no mention of every serving in the Field Organization or Division. When you get your ballot, Please vote for John Robert Stratton. Jason, KC5HWB, traveled to Houston to attend a meeting where John and Madison made their presentations. Here is a link to the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7c7vUXwOTY Jay

This will be Jim's first sale at his new auction facility at 608 Cleveland Road in Granbury. The sale date is Saturday, September 28. There will be a "box lot" auction beginning at 0900 local for parts, chassis, and a variety of "not ready for primetime" items. The live/internet auction will begin at 1000 local. This is a consignment sale with three consignors having the major portion of the 350+ lots. A 10% buyers premium will be applied to all sales. Previewing this auction will be from 1000 to 1800 local on Friday, September 27th. Moving to Australia; stuff to get rid of
7
Greetings all! I saw many of you at Ham-Com at our booth. I¡¯m writing because my wife and I will be moving to Australia in about 30 days or so. With that move, I¡¯ve got some things to get rid of and I thought I¡¯d make you aware of this. First of all, this isn¡¯t expensive gear. What i have is stuff that¡¯s really good for a flea market. Among the stuff... - tons of wall adapters (power supplies); these are all bagged individually; probably more than 50 of them - tons of various cables (audio cables, USB cables, DC, and so on). - tons of coiled DC cig power cords - several audio switches All the above would probably fill the average automobile trunk. I don¡¯t want to give this away in pieces. If anyone wants it, give me $20 for it all and come to Prosper and pick it up. -disassembled Gap Titan Probably a few other things can go in the lot. I need to make room in storage for more expensive things. Mike, WA9PIE

The goal here is to raise money to help fund the deployment of a 220 machine at grapevine. 1.25m is AWESOME. Non existent noise floor. No intermod.. radios are still available... I will be updating repeaterbook shortly. dahs jay

Don't know how many of you are aware of, or follow Jim Sargeant's periodic auctions of vintage electrical/electronic gear, but there's a big sale coming up: A lifetime accumulation...actually, the opportunity of a lifetime is probably a better way to put it! Dick Morgan, aka "The Radioman", is re-locating his radio restoration business. For 30 plus years his primary business was electronic design and manufacturing under his company ¡°Electronic Communications¡±. The last 10 years has been 100% dedicated to radio repair and restoration. He is closing his doors in Garland after 40+ years, and is moving his operation to Forney. Items for sale will be surplus from both businesses. There is far too much to move and this transition will be your opportunity to gain! Mark your calendar for Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1. Doors will be open Friday 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday 9 am to 3 pm. Bring your truck or trailer and cash or check to take advantage of this amazing sale! A few of the things you will find in this sale include: Oscilloscopes Signal Generators Voltmeters DC Power Supplies Frequency Counters Dummy Loads General Radio Q Meter LC Meter Thruline Watt Meters 400 Hz Variable Power Supply Function Generator General Radio RX Meter Spectrum Analyzer TV Analyzer and many more test instruments.
