So, I think I’m going to end up doing something similar…but somewhat more home-brew… I’m thinking of doing a hotspot with an LTE Yagi antenna outside…
Anyone got some LMR400 cable and 14 foot pole tower handy? LOL

We live between Rhome and Decatur, in a subdivision served by CenturyLink. We used CenturyLink DSL for several years, advertised as 7.5Mb max up, 768kb max down. The DSL layer was pretty solid, though it was more like 5Mb/512kb. The actual throughput to the internet was highly dependent on my neighbors' usage. With kids home from school all day and all night in the summer, I was pretty much without internet. I definitely did not have enough usable bandwidth to work from home. The neighborhood is stable with no new construction, so it was going to be years before the service would be upgraded.
I checked a couple of wireless providers and none had facilities in range of out place except for one, OneSource.
Service is a 4G connection between our house and their nearest tower, which is a little over 6 miles away. It is a solid 10Mb down 2Mb up and internet throughput matches it. The one time it has failed was after a storm left us without power for a couple of days. As soon as we had power back, we had internet. However, a few hours later, we lost internet. In the course of troubleshooting with them, it was revealed that their tower had lost power. It was down for about 6 hours.
My bill is just short of $75/month, which is less than CenturyLink and far more reliable.

I have recently moved to an area (in rural Flower Mound) that has no high speed internet options.
Was wondering if anyone had experience with rural internet options like microwave or radio or ..??

Maybe you can look into blue wireless. They are out by the racetrack.

Team ERS,
I successfully got the 2 aredn sectors at the top of the tower today. I do not have them backhauled to Denton yet because I ran out of time to configure the switch.
I want to thanks Joe N3JI and Allan KD5GTT for their awesome ground crew service! I could not have done this alone.

If you are in the area, I encourage you to try and make connection. Perhaps next weekend I will have the time to get everything set up right.

It's a go. The scope will be limited.
Objectives:
1. Climb tower and relocate side mounts to the 260' ish level.
2. Pull up 2 more cat5 toughcables to feed the sectors
3. Mount sectors and confirm visibility via LAN
4. Install power upconverter to get 24vdc via PoE to the aredn
radios.
5. Configure switch to trunk vlan 2 to dcaralan
6. test config with portable nano
