Jay, ?I'll come out and help on the ground provided I have nothing else going on the day that you decide to go out there and get everything off the tower.? Fred W5MGM On Mon, 2024-02-19 at 19:17 -0600, Jay Urish - W5GM wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOk cool--It will definitely be a weekend. I am hunting down a HUGE cable spool for the 2-5/8 monster that needs to come down. As soon as I get one, I will be reaching out to everybody to lock in a date. On 2/19/24 18:28, Chad Congos via

I'm up for ground and spotting detail. Weekends or my 9/80 Friday are best times for me. KD5GTT On Fri, Feb 16, 2024 at 6:45?AM Jay Urish - W5GM <jay@...> wrote:

sad but not unexpected news.
ERSians,
Perhaps you wondered about my tower climbing posts.. What is going on? Welll---- That fateful time has arrived to pull the plug on 444.850. The old Rockledge/Grapevine tower is going to be taken down. Texas Parks and Wildlife removed their equipment some time ago as they join the DPS statewide trunk system. I have decided to remove all the gear / feedlines / antennas while the weather is nicer and help is available. I am in talks with the Denton County Amateur Radio Assn. on a possible replacement site replacement and addition of 4.85 to the resource pool. So the bottom line is 444.850 will be temporarily QRT as these things get worked out. Stay tuned for more details... |

2024 Irving Amateur Radio Club Hamfest, March 2nd
Hello,
I wanted to reach out to you, an attendee of our 2023 Hamfest and invite you to our upcoming 2024 Hamfest on March 2nd. As a reminder, we attract between 350 to 400 paid attendees each year, and we always sell-out our 70 vendor tables before the event. We run this event for the benefit of the local amateur radio community, so we keep the cost low ($5 admission tickets and $10 vendor tables), and we return a significant portion of our revenue as door prizes. This year, our prize collection is among the largest we've ever offered - take a look: Grand Prize - Yaesu FT-710AESS?HF/6 Meter Radio 12:00 PM - Yaesu FTM-500 DIgital Dual-Band Mobile 11:00 AM - Icom IC-T10?Dual-Band FM Mobile (2 HTs awarded) 10:00 AM - Icom V-3500 2 Meter FM Mobile (2 Radios awarded) 9:00 AM - Yaesu FT-2980 2 Meter FM Mobile (2 Radios awarded) Please be sure and put our hamfest on your calendar, and we hope you'll join us for what promises to be one of our best events yet!
