There has been concern expressed regarding the impact on our various end-of-season awards based on whether or not the Crab & Mallet show is scored.? The Board will meet on Wednesday night to make that decision.? In preparation for that meeting, Central Office staff has scored the Region 1-9 national Top 25 both with and without including points won at that show.? I can tell you that scoring this show has no impact on which cats place in the Top 25 in Kittens, Championship, and Premiership.? The same 25 cats rank in the Top 25.? There is some movement within the rankings, but no cats fall out and no new cats move in.
What about Regional awards and national breed wins?? Staff will score those awards with and without points earned at Crab & Mallet early next week.? Since it has not been done, I can not share any information with you regarding that.
Totally unrelated to Crab & Mallet there is a change in the Top 25 Kittens in Regions 1-9.? The latest Epoints posted are through shows held March 7-8.? There was a show in Europe the weekend of February 29 and the show package arrived too late to be included in that set of Epoints. Once the European show was scored, a kitten from Region 9 moved into the Top 25 in the Region 1-9 national rankings.??
