In my case, Firefox shows the same text in the actual "tab" above the URL, along with the R icon in orange, text in white... I checked with the webmaster who said that somehow it’s seeing the page in mobile mode. Strange, though; it displays correctly on my iPad. I see no obvious glitches when I look at it on my machine using Safari Technology?Preview, or Safari, or Brave.

For those who like more details, PRAM Is different from NVRAM. ?The following 2018 article says, “?Modern Macs no longer use PRAM; they instead use something called NVRAM (NV for non-volatile)...”. ?I’m not sure what they mean by “modern”.

fact that you have to turn it off again every time you reset VRAM.
So I was trying to get folks opinions on whether this feature is

If I had those symptoms on my MBPro, the first thing I would do is restart with <Shift> held down (Safe Boot).
Let that finish its clean-and-check routines (invisibly), however long that takes, then restart.
I wouldn’t expect zapping the PRAM to accomplish much on. new machine. And I haven’t found SMC reset to be helpful for quite a few years.
But my *next* step WOULD be Recovery Mode and Disk Utility First Aid.

Yes, I think that is what you would want to happen most of the time. ?And since it boots and shuts down so fast, it would be easy to shut it down in the less frequent situations when you didn’t want it on.

Otto Well I started setting up my 2019 16” MBP, sand I am learning some new things already.? For one, simply opening its lid causes it to boot.? I found a command to run in Terminal that will turn that off, but if you reset VRAM, then you have to reset it again.? Actually that feature also on MBP 2016 and later models and the MBA 2018 model.
If you have one of those models, what do you think about that feature?? Do you like, or dislike it?
For those who elected to turn that feature off, have you encountered any drawbacks after doing so?
