开云体育One, full custom clothing can easily take 13 weeks, domestically.?Two, they don’t know anything about you or what you may have ordered. It is another case of throw it against the wall and see what sticks. You made the match, not them. The odds are good that if a con artist sends our spam referring to a major bank, major online retailer, or delivery service, like USPS, even though you expect the delivery through another service, that they will fool a lot of people.? When you get these emails, stop replying to them, period. If any of the >>specific and unique<<, ?information seems correct for >>you<<, do not click on any link or calls any phone number. Use a known good method to contact them to verify the issue. I get these false delivery alerts all the time, but I place almost no orders that get delivered.? Brent ?

Re: small problem with new computer
开云体育Since I don’t have that model keyboard or any device that has Touch ID, it was a WAG, a wild a?? guess. I thought that the button with the depression could perform other functions, but not sleep. It was more than had been suggested up to that point. I thought since it the new iMac had a M4 chip, it was a 2024 model, with macOS 15, so no optical drive and therefore no eject key.?I’m surprised the OP could use a keyboard shortcut to put heralded ?Mac to sleep. It hasn’t been available from System 7 to Catalina, that I can tell, unless it was done somehow with a third party app or something like Hot Corners, but not a key combination. Brent ?

A little too little knowledge can be dangerous (SMS scam barely avoided)
开云体育My most expensive hobby is no longer keeping up to date with Apple ecosystem hardware. It’s become expanding and updating my Scottish Highlands wardrobe (even more expensive, and when you order something it doesn’t show up on your door step 24 hours (or even 24 days) later. For “bespoke” garments (made from measurements from fabric woven in Scotland), the waiting times are often 6-12 WEEKS, and sometimes MONTHS.Yesterday I received an SMS allegedly from the USPS regarding an item supposedly being held at US customs because of an ambiguous Zip code. The message use of commas and punctuation was a bit odd, but I didn’t really get suspicious until it asked me to reply and fill in a “confirming” form that asked for a credit care number. What fooled me, at first was the URL to which I was supposed to reply: <https://usps.com-trackcpa.top/I>, AND the fact that I was eagerly awaiting a shipment from Edinburgh, supposedly arriving today, being delivered by DHL. I don’t often get packages from DHL, but I don’t remember them using the USPS for “last mile” delivery At first I wondered whether the postal service’s domains included a dot-com rather than dot-gov extension, but my “Informed Delivery” daily emails come from a usps.com address. What I didn’t know was whether usps.com-trackcpa could actually be a totally different domain address. Fortunately, my suscpicions were raised enough to do a quick web search, where I learned that these attacks are rampant. Now,?

??? The Touch ID button on MacBook keyboards can be used to power down (not a forced and precipitous restart that doesn’t close files, just an organized shutdown that DOES close files if you press and hold the Touch ID for several seconds. It can also bring up accessibility choices if you tap it rapidly 3 times, but I DON’T think it can be used to sleep the machine or log out the active user. Of course, it’s primary purpose is to log IN to the current account when the Mac is sleeping.

Re: small problem with new computer
开云体育You can create your own keyboard shortcuts. ?See: Create keyboard shortcuts for apps on Mac Select “All Applications”, “Sleep” (minus the quotes), and try to find an unused key combination. On Nov 13, 2024, at 5:52?PM, Jeannie Girard via groups.io <photojeannie8@...> wrote:

开云体育If that is for Touch ID, then that button alone is probably log out, not sleep, and would require a password to log in.?On my iPhone Xr On Nov 13, 2024, at 15:20, jimrobertson via groups.io <jimrobertson@...> wrote:

It’s a recessed circle with a real purpose, if we’re talking about the right upper corner of the keyboard. If that’s it, it’s the Touch ID key.
