Except for these, I am almost totally not using the MS office products except to occasionally view a doc if I’m not sure that the Pages view is 100% identical to the Word view. Personally I find the UI for iWorks apps much less kludgy [no ribbon!] then MSO.

Re: Mac tune up. how to find and delete

Howdy.

OK. "Website" means you are using a web browser.

This is a suspicious program and could be adware. Adware is not good.
Adware is a current plague for both Windows, Linux, and Macintosh.

Try Malewarebytes.

Thanks anyway, I’ll pass. I assumed, wrongly, that you would know it referred to the “group directory.”

I see how to delete history.. I did clear history. I went to google to search how to delete cookies. it says go to preferences ?and go to details. I do not have a tab for details. I went to privacy and blocked cookies but it did not work.
Thanks for helping?

Safari malware!? adsco

Michael Dunn

Anyone else encountered weird redirect(?) issues that seem to involve c.adsco.re? I have a few times, and am getting a bit worried. Googling reveals some info about the domain, but mostly results in pages that want you to use their particular brand of anti-virus. Sigh… I did find and delete a cookie from that site, but doubt that’ll be enough to solve the problem.

thx
Michael

Re: make screen smaller--

I am on an older OS, but if Bob's suggestions does not do it, then drag your cursor to top of the screen, and go through the Menu Bar looking for a tab that has an item saying something like "exist full screen", or look in System Prefs for a pref that will allow you to use full screen. In 10.7.5 it is called Mission Control, but I think it changed shortly after that.

Download the free “EasyFind” from the Mac App Store:

Ask it to search for “Mac Tune Up”
I suggest using these criteria:

Delete the relevant files that it finds.
