Randy:

Thanks for the heads up! I checked all my email accounts and thankfully only my Yahoo non-business account was compromised.

Re: Apple Watch not showing temperature

It might be worth unpairing your watch and then pair it again. Good luck!

Randy, thanks for this.
The Cybernews personal data leak check shows that my data has been leaked on sites that I have never logged into so have never entered my email or created a password (eg PeopleDataLabs.com). I think that suggests they acquired my info from the other things listed (eg Collection #1), right?

Re: Mac mail password

Assuming you are using IMAP and not POP, I would delete the offline account, then reinstall it.

Apple never discloses their future plans, and no one outside of Apple knows what Apple¡¯s plans are.

You can contact them and ask, if you like:

Thanks so much for that!

Do you think the options will be available any time soon for ¡°Apple Silicon¡± iPad Pros? (I won¡¯t need any advice regarding how to get into mine; the screen already looks like the ice beneath the heroic sled dog Togo in Disney¡¯s movie about the Hero of Seward Park in NYC, and that pathetic-looking glass is barely tethered to the (still working) electronic innards by two ribbon cables.

BUT, I¡¯m curious just HOW far Apple will allow self repair attempters to go. I DID get one quote (from a local RadioShack store) for my tablet. They had to disclose in advance that venturing inside would automatically disable FaceID and TouchID because Apple wouldn't let non-Apple-Authorized repair facilities reactivate them as part of a repair.

Thanks for that additional report, Rick. Unfortunately, additional reports seem to be leading us AWAY from, rather than closer to a cause discovery. For example, in my case, when printing to paper yielded a blank sheet in Safari, the same was true if I printed to PDF (from Safari) but printing from Chrome produced the desired output.

If you remember, could you try ¡°Print to PDF¡± from Safari as well next time printing hard copy from Safari gives you a blank sheet? But, at least we all seem to have work-arounds.

Thanks so much.

Can you get the same benefit from additional SSD by buying an external SSD to pair with a pre-configured machine? Thinking of buying a pre-configured machine from Costco which has better prices than Apple?
Maybe. The problem is that once every register on your SSD has been filled once (regardless of whether much of it has been marked for erasing and re-use), your SSD will begin to noticably slow down. Since your Mac uses your internal (boot) drive for invisible scratch space, temp files, meta data, databases, etc., your internal drive¡¯s free space gets used even if you meticulously use an external to offload stuff too. If your internal drive is too small, it is going to fill up eventually even if you don¡¯t actually store much on it.

HI Brent,

That is an assumption on your part. Rick gave no indication. Many of the others mentioned that they were on a recipe site, but Rick did not.

So at that point, if no one else find a similar problem on a different site, my guess would be that the problem is with the site, not the print process.

Since a work around has been offered, you have 3 options:
- use the work around,
- write the site owner to fix the page, or
- flog a dead horse and complain about it.
