Before I had no idea what to click on. This time you told me. Thank you.
Got it! Downloaded okay. But...
¡°Chromium.app¡± can¡¯t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
"Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the App Store and identified developers."
So I found my security prefs and went through a couple of steps to tell it to open.
Next challenge: It wanted me to sign in to my Google account. I haven't used my Google account for ages! It's tied to an old business email I no longer use. But I found what was needed. Unfortunately the Captcha phoned me with a code and the ring woke up my partner. (I wished I had waited till daytime to try to get in.)
So, Chromium is now on my computer, I'm signed in, and I was able to go to a couple of websites.
I don't want to know now. But sometime soon I'll ask you about getting Chromium set up.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Thank you for getting me this far. (And I definitely DON'T want to upgrade my OS myself!!!)
