Will someone explain Venmo to me? I know it’s a part of PayPal.
Why, if I have a PayPal account do I want or need a Venmo Account?
Is it secure?
Will it be useful.
My eBay maven wonderful wife uses PayPal to receive payment for items she has sold and to pay for items she buys. Will Venmo be useful on eBay?

I use Venmo with people I know, such as family members (‘hey Dad, send me some money’), and friends on tennis team (‘I’ll pick up the lunch tab, you can Venmo me your share’). It has settings to allow the transaction to be public - in the sense that any one you deal with can see your transactions and vice versa. My settings are always set as private, but the younger crowd likes it the other way. I’ve heard a few stories of customer service not helping but to me it’s a convenient service.

I don’t know the specifics that makes them different, but I found this -? I know it is used more for people 2 people transactions. I know a hair stylist that accepts venmo payment for her services, but I’d say it more for small payments from individuals.

I pay the gal that does my hair, I pay payroll to staff, I pay the gal that helps my wife around the house, I send money to my kids, my son-in-law if I owe him for half on an outing, the guy that trims the yard, my Landlord, the gal that cleaned the office, and on it goes...all done with ApplePay.?
The Fed does a transfer at 8:00, noon, & 3:00 pm. If I send money early in the morning it will be in their account ready to spend by 3:00 the same day. ?No cost to either party.?
If it’s an emergency the recipient can opt to have an instant transfer, I believe there is a $10.00 charge but if they are on the side of the road & need the money it’s worth it. ?Now, if the place will accept ApplePay then the money I’ve sent can be used instantly from their Cash card in their Apple wallet ??
